Tidy Graves Ltd out enjoying the sunshine this week with regular tends, deep cleans and fixing letters.
This week I finished off a deep clean in Birkdale, and headed to Anfield for a couple of days. The main tasks being a full repaint of a marble headstone, having deepcleaned it over the Autum and a fix of lead lettering on another where 4 letters had gone missing.
It was nice to get the response from my job with a "I'm made up with that", which is the main reason I do what I do.
The joy it brings to my customers makes all the hard effort worth it for me.
I do regular tends all through the year keeping your loved ones graves tidy. Over the summer there's more grass cutting and often cleaning off that dried grass the industrial care leaves behind with ground maintenance.

Sky's we're mostly grey with some drizzle for most parts of the week, but grave tending still continues. It was great for the flowers and ducks as I sort cover under the trees now and then.
My 13year old stepson cheered me up with a few sunset photos he took while out camping with the scouts.
Working outside has its challenges and it's good to stop and enjoy the moments when you can.
This week's visits included Bootle, Southport, Burscough and Ormskirk. With brighter times due I will be looking to do a few letter replacements next week.

Repainting was the main task this week while the weather held. So a return to Lancaster for a large grave which I previously deep cleaned at the start of the month, this was a difficult repaint as much of the engraving had worn away so a lot of freehand brushing was required.
I followed up with a couple of tablet stones in Southport, again previously deep cleaned
and now in need of relettering.
Tidy Graves provide deep cleaning, relettering and regular grave tending (tidy ups).
Marble attracts pollution and growth to the point that you can no longer read your loved ones names or even realise the stone was white.

What a busy few days to the build up to the Easter break with over 40 Graves cleaned, grass cut, area weeded, flowers placed and headstones polished. Visiting areas in Everton, Anfield, Kirkdale, Ormskirk, Thornton, Ainsdale, Southport, Bootle and Skelmersdale.

Repainting was the call for the week with the sunshine out as it was ideal drying weather for goldleaf repaints.
I was able to start on some of the winter backlog and have the graves ready for the Easter period. While the weather holds I will be focusing on repainting and resin lettering and then move back onto deepcleans...regular tends will continue throughout.
On my trips I always enjoy looking at the many different statues around and how they vary and shall post a few more over the next few weeks.
Visits this week to St Richards Skelmersdale, Duke Street Southport, Sacred Heart in Ainsdale and St Wilfrids in Standish were the main focus.
