Normally, I would be sharing our parish newsletters this Sunday morning. However, as it’s the summer holidays, I’m taking a few weeks away with my family.

I hope you and your families also have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the summer, whether you’re heading away or simply spending time at home. Whatever you’re doing, stay safe and cherish the time together.

For the next three weeks, I’ll be in the beautiful County Mayo, Ireland. 🇮🇪

🙏 Our Weekly Parish Newsletters 📖

We thought it would be a lovely idea to start sharing the weekly newsletters from both parishes within Knights of St. Columba Council 110.

Our two parishes are always busy with Masses, events, fundraising, outreach, and so many wonderful acts of faith and service. However, most of us only get to see the newsletter from the church we attend—and sometimes we even miss that! By sharing both each week, we can celebrate everything happening across our wider Catholic community and perhaps even discover something new to get involved in.

Such a worthy cause, and we are always honoured to support Pendleside Hospice. 🙏

Thankful Thursday 🫶

We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful Knights of St. Columba Council 110 - Burnley for their incredible support and generosity.

Throughout the year, they have been busy fundraising through concerts, raffles and donations from their generous members, and we are delighted to share that they have donated an amazing £1,000 to Pendleside Hospice. Their ongoing commitment means so much to us and helps us continue caring for local people and families when they need it most.

They also kindly donated £1,000 to Holly Grove School, showing just how dedicated they are to supporting our community.

Trevor and Bernard visited the hospice to present their cheque, and it was a pleasure to welcome them. We are truly grateful for their continued kindness, hard work and belief in what we do. 💛
