Incredibly disappointing news. A very sad decision.

I will never forget the kindness and inclusivity of the leaders and members of Plexus, welcoming me in to the community despite my then lack of belief.

Unfortunately, I think this closure will, of necessity, spell the end of my involvement with The Salvation Army once again, at least for the foreseeable future.

Announcement:

Dear Facebook Community,

We wanted to let you know personally that a decision has been taken at Territorial level to bring Plexus / the Online Corps to a close.
We recognise this may come as difficult news, and there is still more to work through regarding what this will mean in practice over the coming months.

I received some very sad and disappointing news today, that I can't elaborate on yet.

I am wondering how can you tell if an apparently closed door is a door closed by God, or an obstacle to be fought and overcome?

I don't know what to think about this to be honest, I applaud the love and compassion, and even the creative way of seeing and interpreting the Jesus story... but I honestly don't and can't respect so many "progressive" or "liberal" Christians for so many reasons unrelated to this topic, and for that reason, it gives me pause.
