The BUSY Project is delighted to announce that our new Youth Worker, Artem Kharchenko, is starting with us today, Wednesday 5th November 2025.
Artem Kharchenko is a devoted Christian who grew up in a Christian family and has been serving God from a young age. For the past three years, he and his wife lived in Germany, where they served as youth leaders, guiding young people in their walk with God. In July 2025, Artem moved to Scotland, following God’s call and purpose for his life. He believes that it is by God’s will and divine guidance that he now serves as a Youth Worker with the Busy Project, helping young people find God, grow in their faith, and discover His plan and calling for their lives.

The BUSY Project run a lunchtime games drop-in at Broxburn Academy every Thursday. All are welcome.

On Fridays we have a youth club for young people from P7 and up. It’s in Uphall South Church Hall from 1-3pm. Come along for games, pool, crafts and food.

BUSY News! After 11 years as the BUSY Youth Worker - Hannah is moving on from the post at the end of this month. She's moving on to develop her work in Arts Engagement at the National Galleries of Scotland. And to spend a bit more time with her son! You can see what she'll be up to here: www.hannahkelly.co.uk

But never fear, the BUSY Management Team will be hiring a new Youth Worker in the months ahead, and our brilliant BUSY Volunteers will continue all the groups in school and outside of it.

If you'd like to say a hello before she goes, we'll be having a leaving party for her in Uphall South Church Hall from 3pm on Friday 31st January.

Our BUSY Pub Quiz Fundraiser is NEXT THURSDAY! We've been so delighted with how many of you have booked in, and we have just a few spaces left! Hi everyone! Just a reminder that Donut Wednesday in school is ON today, and so is Engage Bible Study after school. Youth Club on Friday is OFF - as there's no school and lots of our lovely team are on holiday for the Bank Holiday.
