It is all about Jesus

Every Sunday at 8am we have a traditional, quietly spoken, Holy Communion following the Book of Common Prayer. Later, at 10:15 we have a main service which changes week-to-week. Our All-Age service is on the first Sunday of the month, then we have a more contemporary ‘Parish Eucharist’ on the second and fourth Sundays. On the third Sunday we have a sung Matins (again from the Book of Common Prayer)... and on the 5th Sunday of the Month we experiment with something different. We’ve had a ‘Celebration of Science and Religion’ and are planning an ‘Outdoor Service for Holy Days and Holidays’ in the summer.

We have a large congregation, most of whom stay for tea, coffee and (often) cake every Sunday.

Sunday services finish at 6:30pm with Evening Prayer which is led by the congregation... except for the third Sunday of the month when we have a spoken Holy Communion... because we had Matins in the morning.

Morning Prayer is a regular feature of church life during the week - and the most extraordinary expression of this is “Prayer & Breakfast” in the Green Dragon every Friday morning at 8am. We gather to say the Church of England’s ‘Daily Office’ in the pub because we want to be out in the world, praying for the world. Blessed to be a blessing. We use the App https://www.churchofengland.org/prayer-and-worship/download-church-england-apps : Prayer is free! Breakfast is at the Green Dragon’s usual menu prices.
