How wonderful it was last Sunday as we celebrated with 6 young children from Sunday school as they received their first Holy communion at the family service and led by Rev Hannah Lane.
Please keep Emily, Harriet, Harry, Archie, Aaron and Anna in your prayers as they take this step of faith. Ewan was not able to join them as he was poorly but will be included in the next group of youngsters. Hope you are feeling much better now Ewan.
Thank you to our Sunday school leaders Katie and Gwen for all they do.
Next Sunday the 18th December at 11am will be the Sunday schools nativity. This will be held during the family service. We are so looking forward to seeing this as we have heard them practicing for a few weeks.
Also on Sunday will be the Christmas Carol service at christ church at 6pm

The services for Christmas are:

Christmas Eve. St Andrew's at 6pm
St Maxentius at 7.30pm

WORSHIP at ST. ANDREW'S CHURCH
Reverend Carol Hayden led a wonderful Service of Holy Communion at St. Andrew's last Sunday (6 February) following the 8am and 9.30am services at Christ Church Walmsley. What a warm welcome received here ...and such joyful worship, with enthusiastic singing and beautiful intercessions (see below).

As the children in Sunday School meet in the next room - led last week by Gwen & Lindsey - they join the service at the end to show what they have been learning and creating during the adult worship in the main Hall. As there will be no service there this Sunday (13 Feb), they focussed - in advance - on Valentine's Day, thinking about sharing the love which God has for us with each other. Shown here are the gifts they made for loved ones:

Lindsey Murray led the Intercessions that morning, giving thanks for those who are called and sent out to do God's work, praying for all who respond: "Here I am, Lord!" when they hear You call.
"We pray for those who have a ministry in their daily lives of work, family life or community, who daily bear witness to the gospel in all that they say or do.
We pray today for our Bishops: David, Mark and Mark and our Deanery; for Christ church Walmsley and our own church here at St. Andrew’s Bromley Cross. We thank you for the gift of fellowship that we have here..."

We look forward to being able to worship together with our friends across the six churches of the Turton Moorland Team Ministry. Please note: there will be NO OTHER MORNING SERVICES across the four parishes on this day.

A message from Chris Sutcliffe, Team Administrator:
In order to arrange the layout of the Chapel in a safe manner and make the catering arrangements for breakfast we very much hope that you have by now signed up, so we have an idea of numbers attending.
However, nobody will be turned away even if you decide to come along at the last minute and haven't signed up. It is going to be a wonderful occasion with all age ranges being involved; there will also be children's activities in the service to keep everyone happy! Thank you in anticipation of your support.

Breakfast - bacon sandwiches/veggie option, plain and chocolate croissants will be available from 9.30am
