🎉 🦷 — FREE Health & Dental Event at Brixham Fish Quay 🐟

The Fishermen's Mission in Devon are delighted to announce that with the Port Of Brixham Trawler Event CIC just days away at Brixham Fish Market, we're kicking off the weekend with something really important — a FREE health and wellbeing event for fishermen AND their families.

📅 Thursday 18 & Friday 19 June 2026
🕙 10am – 4pm
📍 Brixham Fish Quay (///overdone.trimmer.asset)

Please note this is with the Smile Together Dental van alongside the quay (through the right entrance gate).

💙 All services are completely FREE — no appointment needed:

⚓ Smile Together — Dental checks & treatment (both days)
⚓ Fishermen's Mission — Welfare support (both days)
⚓ National Energy Action — Energy advice (both days)
⚓ Prostate Cancer UK — Prostate cancer information (both days)
⚓ RNID — Hearing checks — 18th June only
⚓ Tidal Physiotherapy — Physio assessments — 19th June only, 9am–1pm

Working in partnership with Seafarers Hospital Society and Trinity House house.

NB: The Fishermen's Mission are the main beneficiary for the Brixham Trawler Event. By supporting it, you are helping to have vital healthcare events at the quayside, so thank you!

CALLING ALL BRIXHAM YOUTH GROUPS & ORGANISATIONS

Brixham Town Council is excited to begin planning an inaugural “Celebration of Brixham Youth” event at the Scala this summer — and we’d love your group to be involved!

Following the success of our wider Celebration of Brixham events, this special event will focus entirely on showcasing opportunities available for young people aged 0 –18 across our town.

We are inviting local clubs, groups, organisations and activity providers to:
✅ Host a stand
✅ Showcase what you offer young people
✅ Demonstrate activities during the event
✅ Help inspire young people to get involved, try something new and connect with others

We are currently looking at the following provisional dates:
📅 Wednesday 12th August
📅 Wednesday 19th August
📅 Saturday 22nd August

Proposed event times:
⏰ 10am–1pm OR 11am–2pm

We’d really appreciate hearing:
👉 If your group would like to attend/exhibit
👉 Which date(s) would suit you best
👉 Your preferred event time

Your feedback will help us shape the event and make it as successful and accessible as possible for Brixham’s young people.

📩 Please send expressions of interest by email to [email protected] by Friday 29th May so final arrangements can be confirmed for inclusion in the Summer edition of the Brixham Signal.
