Fear knocks at the door of our lives, Faith answers the door, and there is no one there!
Without Faith it is impossible to please God and Hope becomes eroded by the world and our Communities, even families!

Without hope and vision we perish!

How many were anxious, afraid, even worried during the recent storm? We must remember when the storm came in the Word of God, the fishermen became afraid but Jesus was asleep! He is the one to calm our storms whatever they are and brings peace to us. Or are you fishing for something to bring God's safety? He's always there with us whatever the circumstances or storm so stop fishing looking for answers and allow yourself to be caught into His care and protection. Remember He is the one to share peace and calm

At a time when we seem to be without direction and complying with the "laws" of our country we need to reflect on the circle of life. Imagine 2000 years ago in Bethlehem all were go for mandatory registration in a census. Disruption and chaos, no where to rest and find hospitality and crowds everywhere.
As was normal shepherd's were up on the mountains watching their sheep, to be awoke by a heavenly choir and told to go and find a baby!
How do they understand and accept everything that's happening?
Confusion reigns but they are curious and inquisitive as to what is going on.
Today we are getting confusing messages from those in authority, a pandemic has taken friends and family from us, great losses! The further we travel in this time the world is causing havoc you mixed messages we need to identify the way forward and realise that we all have a responsibility to put our hopes in that which never fails. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life!" He came as God's Son to the earth to save it and not to condemn it! To bring us hope, the shepherd's went looking for a baby, the invitation is still the same, " "Come to me all who are burdened and I will give you rest!" JESUS IS WAITING TO BE PART OF YOUR LIFE AND FUTURE HOPE" All you need to do is invite Him to share your life, He is there in every situation in your life. Would you ignore and turn away from the greatest gift that is yours just accept Him 🤔

Last night and now today, sadness, disappointed and frustrated at the result last night! I can understand that when we put our hopes in tangible and human effort, this goes to show that while we enjoy the euphoria of man's achievement in the world that its short lived and soon erased from our lives. Richard Branson takes a previously impossible flight and gets back to earth safely, a great achievement but over in a snapshot of time! But just stop for a minute, capture our thoughts and reflect that man can achieve much but its not long lasting or eternal. The stresses of life and anxieties are back in our minds, be it sickness, sadness, loss of a loved one, or financial.
But there is a hope, there is a loyal, loving and caring source of long term comfort! Many say but it's not personal, tangible or real! Rest assured that when all earthly things have been and gone He will still be there reaching out for you and He is God, he designed creation and man. So as these short term things pass away turn to Him who can raise the dead, give sight to the blind, walk on water and gives compassion to the brokenhearted. My God is able why not let him be involved in your ambitious determination to obtain long term achievements and you will soon find out that He is the same yesterday, today and forever! And what's more he never fails in meeting the needs of his children and followers, salvation is a free gift to all who accept His invitation

2020 taught us so much!
There was sadness, we lost friends, our movements were restricted, holidays cancelled, shops and amenities closed. Could not meet with friends and interest groups, assembly numbers restricted.
BUT!!
We established new friendships, the importance of community was established. We took the opportunity to speak to neighbours and show that we care, greater acknowledgement of those who also care for us.
GoodSam, Red Cross, NHS workers, Pharmacies, Individual home deliveries, Telephone support for the isolated, the anxious, communication and support available for all who requested.
The outcome we have more contact and understanding of the needs of others, we have invented and produced a new vaccination, people have had support and care. As a nation we have been stretched to cope, keep going, address the needs of others, to persevere, to listen, to show compassion all because He who created us and provides all our needs. As His redeemed has provided those around us with talents to due His will.
We cant ignore the truth, "that He who created us cares and promises provides for our needs!"
No matter our circumstances He ensures that the everlasting arms are there for us all!
HAVE YOU MET HIM, DO YOU KNOW HIM BECAUSE HE KNOWS YOU. GET TO MEET HIM HE HAS OFFERED YOU A PERSONAL INVITATION.
He allowed His Son whose birth we have just celebrated to die on a cross for each one of us.
So dont box Him away or put Him out of sight until next year, He is a daily necessity for our lives and wants to be involved with us.
God Bless enjoy His Peace in 2021

As we start to prepare for the Celebration of the Birth of Jesus and the times when families hope to be together its a very different atmosphere around us!
Its been a year of challenges, instability, loss and sadness, we have seen changes to working lives and security, loss due to Covid 19 and other illnesses, and in a time of instability many challenges never before experienced.
However we do have the assurance that no matter how difficult we have experienced our circumstances and challenges we do have hope in Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Redeemer at all times and situations. He remains the same Yesterday, Today and Forever. Remember the words of the Footprints, when it says that Jesus will never leave us or abandon us in our walk in life, that when we see only one set of "footprints" its not that He has left us! That is when He is carrying us through the difficult and painful journey in life.
He can be relied on always

As we progress into another prolonged period of islolation and shutdown, it becomes increasingly evident of the effect that this is creating, loneliness, lack of wellbeing, stress and depression.
Others are asking how long before we start to see positive changes and can relaxation of the current controls. Every day we pray for our nation, our families, our friends, our communities and our businesses and employment. Those who are redundant or about to have their hours cut or even lose their jobs!
It looks very bleak and we begin to doubt or ask what can we do?
If the answer is not possible for humanity, industry, politicians many become even more concerned, anxious, worried!
Just a thought the Bible states that God created, so he knows the "blueprint" and wrote the handbook! He sent His Son to rid the world of sin and bring redemption and salvation to all who call for His prescence and leadership with help and a way, because He is the truth, and the life! Jesus is a present help in our times of need, without faith it is impossible to please God!
We need to pray, have faith in Him who is able to bring change and our hope needs to be in Him!
What choice have we got, "Behold now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation" its by God and we need it we have no alternative because He is the only one who keeps His promises. Take a moment and ask Him, what have we to lose by involving Him in our plans and hopes, He made us!!
