Deflating Spiritual Inflation
Instead of cultivating a congregation that’s “too blessed to be stressed,” perhaps it’s time to encourage a community that is “too grounded to be confounded”--a church that’s not afraid to look itself in the mirror and ask the hard questions: Are we chasing after God or after good optics? Are we hungry for righteousness or for recognition? Are we a body that’s thriving or just surviving on a diet of spiritual fast food. So, let’s cheerfully take out the pin and let the air out of the balloon of spiritual inflation. Let’s bring the congregation back to a place of sincere worship and faithful living. , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , .
