Life Church Bristol A vibrant and welcoming community of Christ followers in Fishponds. Sundays 10.30am - you are very welcome!

Life Church Bristol is a gathering of people committed to the values of the early church, which we read about in the Bible. We love God and love people and are committed to helping meet the needs of those within our local community. We meet together every Sunday to encourage one another in the journey of faith. No matter where you are or what season of life you are in, you are welcome to join us.

Stepping into a new season 🙌

What a significant Sunday at Life Church Bristol! We celebrated our children and young people as they stepped into new stages, prayed over them, and prayed for Andy Cains as he steps into his new role as Church Operations Manager.

We also began our new Vision Series with Gareth’s message, “Resist the Shortcuts.”

Drawing from the journey of the Israelites, we were reminded that the shortest route isn’t always God’s route. When the prize is a person — Jesus — we can trust Him enough to resist the shortcuts.

“When the prize is a person, we must resist the shortcuts.”

What might God be asking you to trust Him with in this season?

Over the past four weeks, we’ve explored what it looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life through our Ancient Faith. Modern Questions. Real Life. series.

🌱 The Life of Faith – Staying rooted in Jesus.
📖 The Word of Faith – Letting God’s Word shape our lives.
🚶 The Walk of Faith – Living out our faith each day.
👣 The Next Step of Faith – Trusting God with whatever comes next.

While the series may be coming to an end, the journey of following Jesus continues every day.

Our prayer is that these conversations wouldn’t just stay within the walls of the church, but would shape the way we live, love and point others to Christ wherever He has placed us.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8

💬 Which week or conversation impacted you the most? We’d love to hear your biggest takeaway in the comments.

The Next Step of Faith 👣
This Sunday was a special one as both congregations gathered together, and we had the joy of dedicating a dear young member of our church family. ❤️

We also reached the final week of our Ancient Faith, Modern Questions, Real Life summer series, with Andy, Trish and Tadi leading a discussion on The Next Step of Faith.

Throughout the summer we’ve heard different voices exploring what our ancient faith has to say about real questions and everyday life. This week brought the series to a personal question:

What is the next step God is calling you to take?

Faith isn’t static. Wherever we are in our walk with Jesus, there is always an invitation to keep growing, keep trusting and keep following Him.

Perhaps your next step is to spend more time in God’s Word.
Perhaps it’s to pray.
Perhaps it’s to serve, step out in faith or deepen your relationship with Jesus.

Whatever it looks like, don’t miss what God might be inviting you into.

đź’¬ What do you think your next step of faith is?

Noah built the ark one plank at a time.
Ruth took one journey.
Peter took one step out of the boat.
The disciples left their nets one day at a time.

Following Jesus isn’t about giant leaps—it’s about daily obedience.

Whatever your next step looks like, remember that God walks with you.

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” — Psalm 119:105

Sometimes we spend so much time waiting for the full picture that we miss the next faithful step right in front of us.

God often leads one step at a time.

As Proverbs reminds us:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart... and He will make your paths straight.”

What’s one next step you feel God inviting you to take?
👇 We’d love to pray with you.

We ♥️ Sundays at Life Church Bristol.

Both congregations came together as one church family as we dedicated a dear young member of our church family and continued our summer series, Ancient Faith, Modern Questions, Real Life.

Andy, Trish and Tadi led us in a conversation around The Next Step of Faith — encouraging us to consider what God might be inviting each of us to do next in our walk with Him.

What’s your next step? 👣

Our prayers are with everyone impacted by the tragic accident at Big Church Festival.

Many from our Life Church family have been at the festival this weekend, and we’re grateful to have heard from them that they are safe and either home or making their way home in the coming days.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the tragic loss of life and of those who have been injured. Our hearts and prayers are with the family and friends who are grieving, those recovering from their injuries, and everyone affected by what has happened.

We’re also praying for the church leaders, teams and all those navigating incredibly difficult circumstances in the days ahead.

Today, we stand together in prayer, trusting that God draws near in the midst of heartbreak.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18

The Walk of Faith 🚶

This Sunday we continued our Ancient Faith, Modern Questions, Real Life series by exploring what it really means to walk out our faith in everyday life.

Stan, Priscilla and George shared honestly about their experiences of following Jesus and what it looks like to live out their faith beyond a Sunday morning.

We were reminded that our faith should shape every part of our lives — our relationships, our decisions, our work, our conversations and the way we respond to the people and situations around us.

Following Jesus is a daily walk. It’s about continually choosing to trust Him, listen to Him and allow our lives to reflect who He is.

So here’s the question for us this week:
What does your faith look like on a Monday? 👣
💬 What stood out to you from Sunday’s conversation?

This Sunday we conclude our Ancient Faith. Modern Questions. Real Life. series by exploring The Next Step of Faith.

Together we’ll be asking:
👣 How do I know what God is asking of me?
🙏 How do I trust Him when I don’t have all the answers?
✨ What’s my next step in following Jesus?

We’d love you to join the conversation.
