We are passionate about prayer...

We are a very active church with a heart to reach out to our community and world with the good news of Jesus. All that happens within our church and the wider community needs to be underpinned with a culture of prayer. Our weekly prayer group, lasts for just one hour, pray for a range of areas that the church is involved with including youth and children's work, community outreach, world vision and needs of the church, local community and country.

A friendly Art and Craft Group which meets in St. Joseph's Church Hall every Monday morning 10.30-12.30 (except bank holidays). Bring your own materials. We do hold workshops every couple of months if you want to have a go at something new.
Voluntary charge of £2 a week, or £5 if doing a workshop, towards costs.

🎊IMPORTANT NOTICE 🎊

On Sunday 9 August we'll be holding a special 'Thank You Sarah' bring-and-share picnic at St Joseph's School instead of our usual morning service, as we give thanks for all Sarah has done as Youth Worker.

Over the past 14 years Sarah has poured herself into the young people of GVC with remarkable commitment, creativity and care. If you have friends and family who you know would want to be there, spread the word. Sarah is not leaving the church but is stepping down in her paid role as Youth Worker after many years of faithful service. We look forward to celebrating together.

We will share a picnic lunch together followed by 'speeches' at 1.30pm.

Come and have a BBQ in the pleasant gardens of the Storey house on St. Mary's Road, Portishead. Friday 7th August 6.00-9.30 pm.

Food will be provided but bring some drink to share.

Suggested contribution: £8 on the night toward cost of food.

The Conversation Collective is a discussion group for any adult to come along and each week we discuss a different topic over a pint or glass of what ever you preference to drink is. We meet at the Albion Pub at 7pm and are often done by 8:15pm depending on how much we want to discuss.
