This Monday Revd Emma Langley (on my left as you look) was licensed at St Anne’s Eastville. That would be good enough. She was also made leader of the new East Bristol Mission Area w. four diverse churches working together for the good of Bristol and its people. That’s creative and brave!

We love the amazing people from Sudan, Cameroon, Myanmar and Afghanistan who are part of our community.

This Trump-style visa ban is cruel, discriminatory, and will mostly hit people in countries torn apart by war, violence and persecution.

For them, studying abroad could be the only chance to rebuild their lives in safety - such as for women fleeing the Taliban.

The government claims it wants to reduce deadly journeys across the Channel, but at the same time keeps on shutting down the few safe and legal ways for people to reach the UK. This will only push more people towards smugglers.

This race to the bottom with Reform must stop - real people's lives are at stake.
