Our church has been an important community building since the 13th century: we’re applying for a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant to carry out urgent repairs on the church tower and murals and to install a small hospitality building. This work is needed to help ensure its future. The project will also include three years of heritage related activities to involve a wider range of people in the community. We are gathering information to see what people are interested in: your answers will be taken into account when planning future activities. To mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee we are holding a special Choral Evensong on Sunday, 5th June at 6.30pm. The Choir of the United Parish will be joining us and we will be serving drinks and canapes in the churchyard afterwards. 10th April - Palm Sunday at 8.30am - Holy Communion (said)
15th April - Good Friday at 9.00am - Service of Meditation. Hot cross buns and coffee will be served after the service, followed by decorating the church for Easter - all are welcome to help!
17th April - Easter Sunday 6.30pm - Holy Communion with organ and hymns
24th April - 6.30pm - Evensong

We will not be holding a service at Stowey on the 3rd April. Instead we have been invited to attend a service of Compline at West Harptree commencing at 6.30pm - all are welcome!

This year's All Souls service will be held on Sunday, 7th November at 6.30pm. This service is where we remember loved ones we have lost. As we are still practicing social distancing within the church, please let our Churchwarden know if you would like to attend - her details can be found on our website

We are having a Churchyard clean up on Thursday, 13th November at 9.00am. We would be very grateful if anyone would like to join us to assist in this task and refreshments will be provided! The more the merrier.

Our next service is the Patronal Festival on the 22nd August at 6.30pm. Rev. Victor Barley will be taking the service and we are going to serve drinks at the end! We still request that masks are worn although we are now allowed to sing. Please contact our Churchwarden, Jill Nicol, if you would like to attend this popular service.

The NGS Open Gardens are taking place in Stowey on 18th July - 2pm - 6pm. There will be 4 gardens to view. Entry price is £5 which covers all of the gardens, the proceeds of which go to the NGS. We will not be able to provide teas this year but there will be cakes, plants and crafts for sale, the proceeds of which will go to Stowey Church. Please come and support us if you can!
