Horfield Methodist Messy Church

Horfield Methodist Messy Church Horfield Methodist Messy Church is for families and others, based around welcome, crafts and art, celebration and eating together, in North Bristol.

Messy Church is a way of being church for families and others based around welcome, crafts and art, celebration and eating together. It meets at a time and in a place to suit people who don't belong to Sunday church. It's built around and continues to develop around the needs of people on the fringe of church life. At Horfield Methodist, our Messy Church congregation started in December 2008, and

it’s been growing since. We have been meeting monthly in Horfield Methodist Church. At Messy Church, we have craft, cooking, physical and prayer activities based around a theme. Following this, we have a time of worship in the church, and then share a meal all together. If you want to get in contact with us, please email us on [email protected]

'Patience' is the name of the game for tomorrow's Messy Church theme!
How long can you keep a fruit pastille or a chocolate button in your mouth? Can you draw an ark and place it on the remote control car, then steer it to Mount Ararat?
Can you follow instructions carefully to make an origami dove?
These and other activities are to help us think about how patient Noah had to be when on the Ark waiting for signs of land. So, how might we follow his example and demonstrate patience in our own lives today?
Saturday 11th July, 11am - 1pm,

Messy Church tomorrow - 11am - 1pm!
'What am I to do?' is a question we often ask ourselves and tomorrow the story is of Moses and the Burning Bush, when Moses in his old age was asked to do something quite difficult by God.
Through the crafts and activities we will be learning about how God can use us to share Jesus' love, no matter how old or young we are ❤️.

Some of the activities to look forward to include: making an edible burning bush; tackling a mini-golf course; 'shining the light' by making a stained glass window; timing how long it takes for a lighted tealight to go out when a jam har is placed over it; drawing around feet; toasting marshmallows . . .

Free (donations welcome)!! Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Hope to see you there!
