We believe that the Church exists to f

orm people of Christ-like love. Discipleship, then, is a lifelong journey of exploration into the heart of God’s love, expecting transformation within ourselves and the communities we seek to serve. We have a wide range of groups meeting during the week including our 20s-30s group, home groups, mental health group, art and book clubs and our choir. Our Worship
Worship is a gracious encounter between God and the Church and all are welcome to share with us as we explore fresh ways to respond to God’s love while still treasuring our Methodist heritage. Our Mission
Mission is our participation in the liberating mission of God. Through concrete acts of love in our communities, both local and global, we enact the hope we have in Jesus. We are committed to encouraging and sustaining healthy relationships for the whole community… irrespective of age, ethnicity, orientation or ability. Our Students
At Vic we welcome students to participate in all aspects of our church life and cherish our connection to the University’s Multi-Faith Chaplaincy.

It's time for the Giving Trees again! To contribute a present to someone facing difficulty this Christmas, simply take a tag from one of the trees, buy a present as outlined on the label and bring it along to the service or drop off at one of the churches in advance. We are supporting young people who have just left care, the Ronald Macdonald House and (new this year) Avenue House, a care home in Redland. The trees are inside and outside Victoria and Tyndale Baptist Church and the gym at the top of the Whiteladies Road. Join the service of dedication of gifts on Sunday 14 December at 5.30pm at Tyndale Baptist Church.

Over 2000 people came to see Jacqui Parkinson's Threads through Creation exhibition at Vic over the past six weeks! It has been wonderful to see how much joy and pleasure it has given people. We are very grateful to those who planned, installed, stewarded, provided refreshments and much more to ensure the success of it all. And Saturday's evening of music, readings and meditations was a deeply moving and fitting way to end to the exhibition. Thank you to everyone who was involved.

Wonderful to have Richard and June with us yesterday. They were married here at Vic on 1 October 1960 by Rev Peter Morley. When they visited the Threads through Creation exhibition yesterday Patrick, our minister, was able to offer a wedding blessing and some prayers of thankfulness for 65 years of marriage. Many congratulations Richard and June!

Many of our readers for "In the beginning..." were deeply moved when we read through the full script last Sunday. We are now looking forward to putting this together with the music the choir and musicians have been preparing in our next rehearsal.

In the meantime, don't forget that the Threads through Creation exhibition remains open until 4 October 2025: Mon/Wed/Fri 11am-4pm and Tue/Thur/Sat 11am-6pm with refreshments and cake served on Saturdays.

It was great to have Jacqui Parkinson with us yesterday to tell us about the making of her Threads through Creation panels. Around 120 people came to hear her speak full of passion and enthusiam about her work.

Our next event is "In the beginning...", an evening of Music, Readings and Meditations to accompany the exhibition. It will be an opportunity to celebrate creation and creativity, and consider how the Bible's ancient creation stories can connect with a more contemporary faith and spirituality in the 21st century. Join us for that on Saturday 4 October at 7.30pm!
