Created by a community, shared with a community.

This is the final week to see Bristol's contribution to the Grenfell Memorial Quilt at Bristol Cathedral.

Created by Bristol Star Stitchers, the quilt brought together more than 30 people of different ages and sewing experience, united by a desire to remember those affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

At its heart are 72 embroidered stars, each bearing the name and age of a person who died. Around them are symbols of remembrance, hope and community.

Before the quilt continues its journey, we invite you to spend some time with this remarkable piece of artwork and reflection.

Our Tuesday Lunchtime Recitals return next week. 🎵

After a summer break, we're looking forward to welcoming audiences back to Bristol Cathedral for the start of a new season of lunchtime music. The series resumes on Tuesday 8 September with organist Michał Szostak.

Whether you're a regular concertgoer, work nearby, or simply fancy doing something a little different with your lunch break, come and join us in the Cathedral's beautiful Nave for an hour of live music.

This year's recitals are especially exciting as we celebrate the return of our historic organ following its restoration, with many performances forming part of our Grand Organ Festival.

Next Recitalist: Michał Szostak
