The Redcliffe Sessions | Saturday 13th June. The next Redcliffe Session will see St Mary Redcliffe become a space for honest, unguarded music.
Dogsbody, the brainchild of Mimi Jones, crafts songs that feel like confessions. Her songwriting has drawn comparisons to Jeff Buckley, Elliott Smith and Mazzy Star; grungy chord progressions meet jazz-imbued vocals in performances that are raw, purposeful and utterly intimate. This session will be a special Dogsbody String Theory performance that you will not want to miss! Acoustic guitar, vocals, violin and cello.
Alex Pester's work emerges from contradiction: the desperate desire to connect through introspection. His songs are diary entries, yet the melodies are welcoming, evergreen. You are unlikely to find him shouting about his work, so join us for this rare performance. His performances are mysterious and hard to predict, and yet all 11 of his albums communicate his world, his loves and his fears in technicolor.
