What a thoughtful morning of worship together, led by our CSM ✨

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to livestream this week’s meeting, so here’s a little glimpse into what we shared together.

Our focus was on giving God our first and best. Through the theme of the Feast of First Fruits, we were reminded that God doesn’t ask for our leftovers, but invites us to put Him first in every part of our lives.

A simple but powerful object lesson helped bring this to life. Two vases were filled with rice and sand, representing all the things that fill our days: work, family, hobbies, commitments and everything in between. When the vase was already full, there was no room left for the rocks representing God. Yet when the rocks were placed in first, there was still room for everything else.

It was a great reminder that putting God first doesn’t mean having less. In fact, Proverbs 3:9–10 reminds us that when we honour God with our first and best, His blessings overflow ❤️

As the meeting drew to a close, the band shared All That I Am, a fitting response to everything we had reflected on:

“All that I am, all I can be,
All that I have, all that is me…”

A challenge for the week ahead: what would it look like to put God first, not just in words, but in the way we live each day? 🙏✨

This morning’s meeting was beautifully led by Beth Gweshe❤️

Rosie shared her testimony and spoke openly about some of the things she finds difficult. She left us with a simple but powerful challenge: if God is calling you to go on a journey, then go. Even if you do not feel ready, or even if part of you does not want to, go anyway 🙏

In her sermon, Beth spoke about being intentional and centred on Jesus’ promise: “I am with you.” ✨

It is a promise we see right through Scripture, from Moses at the burning bush, to Joshua stepping into his calling, and then into the New Testament with Peter walking on the water 🌊 Beth reminded us that the miracle was not really about Peter’s ability, but about Jesus being there with him.

She spoke about how God is with us even in the uncomfortable moments 🤍

The children’s story brought this message to life so clearly. Two of our younger members were blindfolded and guided through an obstacle course while there was lots of noise and distraction around them in the hall. By listening to the voices guiding them and trusting the people walking beside them, they made it through 👣

It was such a strong reminder that God does not always remove the obstacles in front of us, but He does promise, “I am with you.” He walks with us through every challenge and every uncertain moment 💛

Jesus was intentional in the way He lived and in the way He called people, and He still calls each of us today, often when we feel hesitant or not quite ready.

Beth encouraged us to think about our own intentions and to step forward in faith, trusting that wherever we go and whatever God may be calling us to, Jesus is still saying: “I am with you.” ✝️✨
