TOPIC: Are You A True Witness?

MEMORISE: “And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.” – Acts 5:32 (KJV)

READ: Acts 1:6-8 (KJV)

6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Kings 1-3

Open Heaven 18 April 2025 MESSAGE

In Acts 1:8, Jesus said that you will receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon you, and you will become a witness. A witness produces proof. When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you become someone who can produce proof that Jesus is the Saviour, the Healer, and the Deliverer because He will reveal these divine attributes through you.

Your lifestyle must reflect that Jesus is in you because He said that people will be known by their fruits (Matthew 7:16). Being a witness means showing what it means to be a genuine child of God. All parties involved in a court case are expected to invite witnesses who would make statements in their favour. The testimonies of the witnesses are expected to strengthen the argument of the parties that invited them. Your lifestyle as a witness of Christ should strengthen the faith of others, not weaken it. Your life should draw unbelievers to Jesus, not push them away from Him. Your primary task as the Lord’s witness is to follow Him sincerely and use everything He gives you to lead others to Him. Don’t be the reason people vow never to follow Jesus because, as a witness, your life has told lies about God’s nature and personality. Whenever your words and conduct speak lies about Jesus, you become a false witness.

While false witnesses tell lies about what they have seen, another set of people, whom Paul called false brethren, claim to have seen things they have not. They act as witnesses when they haven’t seen anything.

Paul spoke about the dangers he faced at the hands of false brethren (2 Corinthians 11:26). Some of them came into the Galatian church and wanted to enslave the true believers there (Galatians 2:4); they came with high-sounding opinions that were contrary to God’s will. You must beware of false brethren because they carry a contrary spirit. They twist the message of Christ and turn the grace of God into a license for immorality (Jude 1:4). Such fellows say that once you have received Jesus, you can live anyhow because the grace of God covers you. They also feign godliness for their personal gain. Paul warned that we should withdraw from such people (1 Timothy 6:5).

Beloved, as Christ’s witness, you must be careful that your life doesn’t speak lies about Jesus, and you must also take care not to fall into the trap of those who profess to be witnesses of Christ but have never met Him.

Open Heaven 17 April 2025 Thursday Daily Devotional By Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Don’t Help God

MEMORISE: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” – Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)

READ: 1 Samuel 13:1-14 (KJV)

1 Saul reigned one year; and when he had reigned two years over Israel,

2 Saul chose him three thousand men of Israel; whereof two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in mount Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent.

3 And Jonathan smote the garrison of the Philistines that was in Geba, and the Philistines heard of it. And Saul blew the trumpet throughout all the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear.

4 And all Israel heard say that Saul had smitten a garrison of the Philistines, and that Israel also was had in abomination with the Philistines. And the people were called together after Saul to Gilgal.

5 And the Philistines gathered themselves together to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which is on the sea shore in multitude: and they came up, and pitched in Michmash, eastward from Bethaven.

6 When the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait, (for the people were distressed,) then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits.

7 And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.

8 And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.

9 And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering.

10 And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.

11 And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;

12 Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the Lord: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.

13 And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the Lord thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the Lord have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the Lord hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the Lord commanded thee.

MESSAGE

In Luke 1:26-38, an angel visited Mary and told her she was going to be pregnant and that she would give birth to a special son who was going to be great. Mary said, “That’s wonderful, but are you forgetting that I am not married yet? I have never known a man; how will a virgin conceive?” The angel said, “The Holy Ghost will handle that because, with God, nothing shall be impossible.” Imagine what could have happened if she tried to help the Lord by sleeping with a man, just like Sarah did when she encouraged Abraham to sleep with Hagar so He could have a child (Genesis 16:1-3).

Years ago, my wife and I were praying for a certain woman who was waiting for the fruit of the womb. After a while, she lost hope and consulted a witch doctor who made some charms for her, and she got pregnant. That was over twenty years ago; up until now, she has not delivered the baby. When you try to help God, you will play into the devil’s hands.

King Saul was another person who tried to help God. Shortly after he became king, the Philistines gathered together to fight Israel. It was a difficult situation, and the people began to mount pressure on Saul to act. Instead of waiting for Samuel to present the burnt offering, Saul decided to help God, so he overstepped his bounds into the priestly office and offered the sacrifice. When Samuel asked him why he tried to help God, he came up with excuses that he thought were valid. Those who try to help God always have excuses and reasons to do so, but this doesn’t stop them from bearing the consequences of their disobedience. Saul lost the throne because of this foolish act.

Beloved, do not try to help God; just do your part according to His word and leave the rest to Him. If you try to help Him, you will open yourself up to the devil’s manipulations and make grave mistakes. I have noticed from my walk with God that whenever He asks that you wait for Him, it is because there is something glorious on the way. Don’t get deceived by the flashy things the enemy tries to dangle in front of you to distract you or push you to ‘help God’. By trying to help Him, you might end up destroying the very things that you want Him to help you build.

TOPIC: Becoming A Vessel Unto Honour

MEMORISE: “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:” – Matthew 3:11 (KJV)

READ: Luke 1:26-38 (KJV)

26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.

28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.

32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Kings 19-20

MESSAGE

After reading today’s topic, you may ask, how do I become a vessel unto honour? The simple answer is that you need the Holy Spirit.

In 1 Samuel 16:1,11-13, God told Samuel, “I am sending you to Jesse’s house because I want to raise a king there.” Jesse didn’t present David initially because the entire family believed that David was not the kind of person who could become a king. However, as soon as David came, God said, “That is him.” Samuel poured oil on David’s head, and the Bible says that the Spirit of God came upon him. When the Spirit of God came upon the shepherd boy, he became who God wanted him to be – a king. God has a great plan for your life, but you need the power of the Holy Spirit over your life to fulfil it.

In 1 Samuel 10:6, Samuel told Saul that the Spirit of God would come on him and he would prophesy; the Spirit of God turned an ordinary boy into a prophet. In Judges 13:1-25, an angel told a woman that she was going to give birth to a son and that he would be a judge in Israel. After that son was born, the Bible says that the Spirit of God began to move him. When the Spirit of God comes on someone, the fellow becomes who God says he or she will be. In today’s Bible reading, when the angel told Mary, “You will have a son, and He will be the son of the Highest,” she asked, “How can this be since I know no man?” The angel gave her the ultimate solution to impossible cases: The Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit came upon her, she did the impossible; she conceived God and birthed Him into the world. She became a vessel unto honour because the Holy Spirit came upon her.

Are you struggling with sin? Do you find it difficult to spend time in God’s presence? Do you lack the fire and zeal to live a holy life? Do you keep going back to your vomit of addictions? Cry out for the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is symbolised as fire, and when fire visits a place, nothing remains the same. When the Holy Spirit came upon Saul, the persecutor, he was changed into Paul, the apostle.

Beloved, the Holy Spirit sanctifies vessels for the Father’s highest purposes, and you need Him to become a chosen vessel unto honour.

ACTION POINT

Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me and use me for Your glory.

TOPIC: The Law Of Harvest

MEMORISE: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” – Galatians 6:7 (KJV)

READ: 2 Corinthians 9:6-11 (KJV)

6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.

10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Kings 16-18

MESSAGE

One of my sons was in a church service, and the Lord told him to give an offering of N1,000, which was a lot of money in those days. He said, “Get behind me, satan,” and God replied, “It is not satan, it is Me, and I am not going anywhere.” He kept trying to silence the voice that spoke to him, but the voice persisted. At last, he decided to give N500, just in case it was God. The next week, a woman came to his office and gave him N50,000. He was excited because it was a lot of money. As the woman was leaving, she turned back and said, “Sir, I’m sorry, but I have to confess this. I was actually supposed to give you N100,000, but something came up, and I had to spend N50,000 out of it.” Immediately he heard that, his excitement vanished. He realised that God wanted him to reap a harvest of N100,000, but he only sowed half of the seed that was required.

When we sow something little, we will reap something little in return (2 Corinthians 9:6, Luke 6:38). The harvest of a farmer who sows on hectares of land cannot be compared to that of a farmer who sows on a small piece of land in his backyard. Wise farmers reserve their best crops for sowing because they know that the quality of the seed is a major determinant of the quality of the harvest. Only foolish fellows eat the best of their seeds. Whenever God blesses you, He puts the seed for the next season and the bread for the present season in that blessing. Always recognise your seed and sow it.

Seeds can be in the form of actions, service, or words. In 2 Kings 4:8-10, the great woman of Shunem sowed the seed of kindness to Elisha, and she reaped a bountiful harvest. Her decision to set aside a space for the man of God to rest whenever he passed by her town was a seed that yielded multiple harvests. First, she reaped a harvest of fruitfulness after a long period of barrenness; then, she reaped a harvest of resurrection when her son suddenly died and was resurrected. Lastly, she reaped a harvest of miraculous restoration after returning to her city following a seven-year famine to find that her land and house had been taken over (2 Kings 4:8-8:1-6). I decree that all your good seeds will yield bountiful harvests, in Jesus’ name.

ACTION POINT

Plant a seed of kindness in somebody’s life today.

TOPIC: No More Labouring (2)

MEMORISE: “And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.” – Exodus 33:14 (KJV)

READ: Deuteronomy 15:5-6 (KJV)

5 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.

6 For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Kings 3-5

MESSAGE

Yesterday, I explained that labouring means working so hard and having little or nothing to show for it. Work is easier when there are results. When I go for Mount Zion Hour at the RCCG Headquarters, where I have to lay hands on thousands of people, it is hard work, but I don’t mind because testimonies follow.

When a pastor fasts, prays, preaches, and follows up converts with all of his or her strength, yet the church does not grow, it is a terrible experience. I know this because l have experienced it. In the early days of my ministry, God promised that I would lead a mighty end-time army, but l couldn’t see the army. The church congregation would increase by two members in one week and decrease by four the next week. I organised seminars every month, and many people would be in attendance. However, after the seminars, the congregation would remain small. One day, God asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I replied that I wanted a miracle for every member of my congregation. He instructed me to organise a programme where He would be giving out the miracles. We called it the Holy Ghost Service, and that was how God turned things around for me.

When God speaks concerning a matter, results that human efforts cannot produce are achieved. For example, when we needed N17,000 to roof the first auditorium in Redemption City, I had only N1,000. At the same time, one of the RCCG pastors was building an accommodation for some members of his congregation, and he needed N1,000 to roof it. He came to me to ask me for the money, and I got upset and said, “I need N17,000, and I have only N1,000, and you want to collect it? Please leave my office.” He got up to leave, but God spoke to me and told me to give him the N1,000. Reluctantly, I called him back and gave him the money. As he went away, God said, “Son, why are you grumbling? There were two problems; I solved one through you, and there’s only one left.” Before the day ended, somebody came from another state in the country and said, “I have just collected rent from my tenants, and God said I should bring everything to you.” The money was exactly N17,000!

When you hear God’s voice, obey Him, and leave the rest to Him because your rest from labour and toil lies in your obedience.

KEY POINT

God’s voice brings rest, but you won’t enjoy that rest until you obey all He says.

MEMORISE: “Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house.” – 2 Chronicles 7:1 (KJV)

READ: 1 Kings 18:30-39 (KJV)

30 And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down.

31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the Lord came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:

32 And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.

33 And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.

34 And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time.

35 And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.

36 And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.

37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.

38 Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Samuel 17-19

MESSAGE

Today, as I continue my discussion on the events of the day of Pentecost in Acts 2, I want to examine the implication of the fire that appeared and sat on each of the disciples. In today’s Bible reading, we see that Elijah’s prayer that caused fire to fall from heaven was majorly filled with praises. In the atmosphere of praise, God answers prayers by fire. When the fire fell, idol worship stopped in the land. The reason the agenda of the devil appears to be thriving in certain places is that the necessary conditions for revival have not been met.

Another thing Elijah did before the fire fell in today’s Bible reading was to repair the broken altar. When we repair our broken altars of prayer, praise, and worship, God’s fire will fall. We cannot be lukewarm and expect God to send His fire. The disciples tarried in the upper room before God’s fire fell – they were busy praying and setting the stage for His fire (Acts 2:1-2). After Elijah repaired the broken altar, he put the wood in order and prepared the sacrifice (1 Kings 18:33). We cannot be disorderly and expect God’s fire to fall.

Elijah also asked the people to pour four barrels of water thrice on the sacrifice. Note that it hadn’t rained for three and a half years; therefore, pouring such an amount of water was a huge sacrifice on its own. The people poured a scarce commodity in preparation for rain. No wonder God was in a hurry to send down His fire. Wherever God sees unusual sacrifice, He sends His fire. In 2 Chronicles 5, after completing the temple, Solomon gathered all the Levites, priests, and Israelites, and they sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told or numbered for multitude. After this great sacrifice, God’s presence filled the temple such that the priests could not stand to minister. Then, as soon as Solomon finished praying, fire fell from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and sacrifices (2 Chronicles 7:1). God’s fire of preservation, increase, and unusual miracles falls in atmospheres of prayer and sacrificial giving.

Beloved, do you desire God’s fire? Don’t hold back in giving Him your heart, time, and resources. Give sacrificially and pray consistently; you will be visited by the fire of God’s power, provision, and glory.

PRAYER POINT

Father, I will not withhold anything from You. Please help me to give sacrificially to attract Your fire, in Jesus’ name.

MEMORISE: “The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.” – Job 33:4 (KJV)

READ: Genesis 1:1-3 (KJV)

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Samuel 14-16

MESSAGE

As I continue to discuss the significance of the events of the day of Pentecost, I want you to consider that on that day, there was a sound of a mighty rushing wind (Acts 2:1-2). In Exodus 14:21-28, when the wind blew, a way appeared where there was none before. When a revival like the day of Pentecost happens, every force that is hindering the church will be blown away by the wind, and ways will appear where there were none before.

Some years ago, I was invited to preach in an orthodox church, and I preached about the three basic steps of Christianity: salvation, sanctification, and baptism in the Holy Spirit. When I finished speaking about the Holy Spirit, I was expecting some opposition, but an Archdeacon came to me and said, “Sir, thank you for explaining to us that the Holy Spirit is like wind. If the wind wants to blow past somewhere and someone is blocking the way, what will happen?” I said, “The little I know is that the person will be uprooted.”

Whatever has been standing against your progress and God’s plans for your life will be uprooted once the Holy Ghost comes. I pray that any power of darkness that might be keeping you from fulfilling God’s will and enjoying His blessings will be uprooted by the wind of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name.

Another thing that happens when the wind blows is that there is divine provision. When God was going to give His people meat, He sent forth a wind that brought quails from the sea, and they fell in abundance around the camp such that the people gathered them until the next day (Numbers 11:31-32). There is always more than enough where the wind of the Spirit blows.

Lastly, Job said that the Spirit of God made him, and the breath of the Almighty gave him life (Job 33:4). God’s wind gives life, and where there is life, death cannot stay. When God breathed into man in Genesis 2:1, man became a living soul; he was transformed from mere dust into a walking, talking being. You will experience transformation when the wind of God’s Spirit blows as it did over the formlessness of the earth and transformed it into a beautiful place (Genesis 1:1-3).

I decree that you will receive a fresh visitation of the wind of God this season, in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINT

Father, please let the wind of your Spirit blow in my life and ministry, in Jesus’ name.

MESSAGE

In continuation of my discussion about the significance of the events of the day of Pentecost, I want to point out that those who listened to the disciples after they had been filled with the Holy Ghost said, “We hear them praising the good works of God in our various languages” (Acts 2:1-12). This means that there must be constant thanksgiving and praise to God if we want to experience a mighty move of the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ today.

When we meet to pray concerning our needs, God will show up. However, when we meet just to thank Him and acknowledge His greatness, He will manifest in a powerful way, and there will be a revival; miracles will become commonplace in our midst, and there will be many testimonies.

Years ago, I promised to visit one of the RCCG elders and told him I would spend just five minutes with him. Before I arrived, he had beautiful hymns and praise songs playing because he had observed that I am always humming songs of praise to God. I didn’t know when I spent one hour with him because I was enjoying the music. If you are God’s child and He always hears praises around you, He will definitely stay with you. God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3); He comes wherever He is exalted and extolled.

People who complain and murmur cannot host God’s presence. When the Israelites murmured, it displeased God, and at some point, His fire fell among them. Unlike the tongues of fire on the day of Pentecost, this fire burnt and consumed them (Numbers 11:1). When Paul and Silas were imprisoned, instead of complaining, they started praising God. God came into the prison and caused a great earthquake such that the foundations were shaken (Acts 16:25-26). When you praise God amidst difficulties, He brings solutions that men cannot deny, giving you blessings that extend to those around you. When the prison was shaken, all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bands were loosed.

Beloved, surrender your life to Jesus Christ if you haven’t done so and choose to live a life of praise. The Holy Spirit will dwell in you and manifest mightily around you. He will liberate you if you are in any form of bo***ge and bless you so much that the blessings will be evident in your life and in the lives of everyone connected to you.

ACTION POINT

Praise and thank God for 30 minutes. Don’t ask for anything; just praise and thank Him.

21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Samuel 8-11

MESSAGE

Over the past two days, I have been discussing the significance of the events that happened on the day of Pentecost. On that day, everyone in that upper room received a touch from God. Their hearts were tuned to God, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.

If we truly want a revival in our generation, we cannot watch weak believers remain in their weak states. We must sharpen each other (Proverbs 27:17) such that the ‘weakest’ among us will be working miracles. If we’re really united, we won’t look away when we see a brother dozing when he should be praying; we will hold his hand to encourage him to pray. We will not see a sister dressing indecently and showing signs of backsliding without trying to encourage her faith. If someone’s fire seems to be dying, pray for the fellow rather than use him or her as a bad example to others to make yourself look righteous.

Everyone in the upper room on that particular day received a touch from God because they submitted to Him and to one another – nobody felt superior. In the 70s, I knew a young man called Bro Sam. He wasn’t a member of RCCG, but he was very popular because he was heavily anointed by God. He couldn’t speak English, but he was so anointed and was well sought after. On one occasion, he was invited to preach at a college. When he got up to say that he didn’t speak English and would need an interpreter, Queen’s English began to flow from his lips. He didn’t know what he was saying, but the message kept flowing. After about one hour, people began to rush forward, weeping and crying for salvation. As soon as he left the college, he couldn’t speak English again. There were testimonies of at least three dead people that God resurrected through him. Whenever he prayed for the sick, he would describe how their sicknesses were moving out of their bodies until they were completely healed. However, pride entered his heart after a while, and whenever he was called to go for Bible study, he would say, “Who is preaching? How many dead people has he raised?” Sadly, he ended up in an asylum.

Beloved, if we want God’s power to rest among us, we must shun pride and submit to one another in the fear of God (Ephesians 5:21). We must also look out for the feeble among us and lift them up.

ACTION POINT
