Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “No people gather to remember Allah Almighty but that the angels surround them, cover them with mercy, send tranquility upon them, and Allah mentions them to those with Him.”

Hundreds of people walked through Easton at a procession celebrating the Prophet Muhammad

🌹 An afternoon filled with love for the Prophet ﷺ 🌹

Following today’s beautiful Grand Mawlid Jaloos through the streets of Easton, we returned to Easton Jamia Masjid for our Grand Mawlid gathering.

It was wonderful to have our local Imams, scholars and Naat Khwaans come together, with beautiful recitations, reminders and words about the life, character and mercy of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Today was not simply about a procession or a gathering. It was about renewing something within ourselves.

To love the Prophet ﷺ is to try to live his example with mercy in our hearts, kindness in our character, justice in our actions and service to those around us.

My heartfelt thanks to all our respected Imams, Naat Khwaans, participating Masajid, Fishponds Madani Jamia Masjid DawateIslami South West UK Hazrat Bilal Masjid/Centre - Bristol Bristol Jamia Mosque volunteers and everyone who joined us throughout this special day.

May Allah accept our efforts, increase our love for His beloved Messenger ﷺ and allow that love to make us better people and stronger communities.

Rejoicing the Prophet of Mercy ﷺ — For All Mankind. 🌹

🌹 A beautiful day of faith, love, mercy and unity in Bristol.

Today our streets in Easton were filled with people rejoicing in the Prophet of Mercy ﷺ and sharing a message that our world desperately needs:

Mercy over hatred.
Love over division.
Compassion over hostility.
Unity and respect for all.

Our Grand Mawlid Jaloos is an expression of our love for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, but that love must mean more than words and celebration. It must be reflected in our character, in serving our neighbours, caring for the vulnerable, standing for justice and treating every human being with dignity.

It was wonderful to see generations walking together today and our community celebrating peacefully and proudly.

My sincere thanks to our Imams and scholars, participating Masajid, Bristol Sunni Forum, volunteers, stewards, community organisations, the authorities and everyone who joined us or supported the procession.

And to our neighbours across Easton thank you for your patience, kindness and welcome.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sent as “a mercy to the worlds.” May we carry something of that mercy from today’s procession into our homes, our streets and our everyday lives.
