What an amazing weekend at 3Generate! 🙌🏾❤️

What a joy and privilege it was to spend the weekend with our young people at 3Generate, the annual youth assembly organised by the Methodist Church in Britain at the NEC in Birmingham.

This year’s theme was centred around the powerful words of Jesus:

“I am the way and the truth and the life.” (John 14:6)

We were delighted to bring 12 young people from Westbury-on-Trym Methodist Church, nine of whom were attending 3Generate for the very first time. It was wonderful to see them embrace the experience with such enthusiasm, openness and excitement.

From worship and prayer to games, activities, conversations, friendships and exploring faith together, it was a weekend full of faith, fun, learning, fellowship and new experiences. The camping experience was certainly part of the adventure too! ⛺😊

The theme, “Jesus: The Way, The Truth, The Life,” gave our young people plenty of opportunities to reflect on what it means to follow Jesus and to discover how His words can shape our lives and the choices we make.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend possible - our amazing young people, Bristol District, Bristol and South Gloucestershire Methodist Circuit Westbury on Trym Methodist Church, leaders, parents and the wider church family. Your prayers, encouragement and support are deeply appreciated. 🙏🏾

We are incredibly proud of all 12 young people. It was especially encouraging to see those attending for the first time make new friends, grow in confidence and engage so positively with the wider Methodist youth community.

And the best news of all… they’re already looking forward to next year! 🎉🙌🏾❤️

A JOYFUL WELCOME TO REVD DR PETER MASVOTORE & JULIET! 🌟

What a wonderful evening of worship, celebration and fellowship at St Peter’s Methodist Church on Tuesday 1 September, as we welcomed Revd Dr Peter Masvotore and his wife, Juliet, into the Bristol & South Gloucestershire Circuit. 🙏❤️

From the warm welcome by Revd Patrick Stonehewer, Acting Superintendent, to the powerful and challenging message from Revd Dr Marcus Torchon, Chair of the Bristol District, the evening reminded us of God’s faithfulness, our calling to serve, and the importance of welcoming one another with love and openness.

Marcus reminded us that God is faithful in every season and that, as a church, we are called not only to receive those whom God sends among us, but to welcome, support and journey with them in ministry. Our welcome is more than words- it is an expression of God’s love and a commitment to walk together in faith and service. ✨

💬 Messages of welcome and encouragement were shared by the four churches where Revd Masvotore will serve:

⛪ St Peter’s
⛪ Withywood
⛪ Knowle
⛪ Parkway

The Circuit Stewards also shared a heartfelt welcome, assuring Peter and Juliet of the Circuit’s love, prayers and support as they begin this new chapter.

🎶 The Zimbabwe Fellowship led part of the service with joyful and uplifting worship, creating a beautiful atmosphere of unity and celebration- truly a foretaste of heaven’s harmony!

We pray that God will continue to bless Peter and Juliet with grace, wisdom, strength and joy, and that their ministry will bear abundant fruit across our churches and communities.

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy!” -Psalm 126:3 ❤️

Welcome, Revd Dr Masvotore namai! We are delighted to have you with us. 🙏🏾✨

📣 IMPORTANT NOTICE

Please be advised that there will be no in‑person service in Bristol this Sunday, 30th August, as our branch will be joining the National MCZF‑UK Youth‑Led Service.

Let’s come together as a nationwide family and support our young people as they lead us in worship, prayer, and celebration.

Full details are provided below.

Last Saturday, 22 August, our Men’s Christian Union (MCU) joined brothers from across the Southwest at the MCU BBQ & Fellowship in Slough. The hymn in this video is one of the beautiful outcomes of that gathering -a reminder of what happens when men come together in worship, unity, and purpose. Truly, the Mission of God is unstoppable.

We give thanks for a beautiful service on Sunday 16th August as we welcomed those joining the Fellowship. Led by Revd C. Kadzere, we reflected on Daniel 1:1–21 and Hebrews 10:23–25-a powerful reminder to stand firm in faith, remain rooted in God’s Word, and strengthen one another in community

We celebrate every new member of the Bristol MCZF‑UK family. May we all together grow and flourish in Christ.
