This Sunday at Life Church Vassall, pastor Gareth kicked off our new series, *Expect the Unexpected* 🙌✨
Looking at Acts 12:1–17, we were reminded of the incredible power of prayer through the story of Peter’s miraculous rescue from prison.
We explored how:
• Prayer is the best option when we don’t know what to do
• Prayer involves us in the unexpected things God can do
• Prayer reveals God’s power, not ours
• Prayer helps us know God’s nature more deeply
We were encouraged to dream big, pray often, trust God and take every opportunity He gives us. No matter our circumstances, prayer invites us to partner with a God who can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine. 🙏
Gareth also challenged us to lay aside the reasons that often stop us seeking prayer—fear, doubt, not feeling worthy, or believing our situation won’t change—and instead to come expectantly before God.
The service concluded with a powerful time of prayer ministry as we put into practice what we’d been learning.
