We are devastated by the serious incident that took place at Big Church Festival 2026 today, in which a sign fell, injuring at least seven people, one of whom tragically lost their life.

First and foremost, all of our thoughts are with those who have been affected, their families and friends, and everyone who witnessed what happened.

Following today’s incident, we have made the decision to bring Big Church Festival 2026 to a close.

A Warm Welcome to Rev Peter Masvotore

We are delighted to welcome Rev Peter Masvotore and his wife, Juliet, as they join us from Zimbabwe. Peter has been appointed to serve as Minister for the Knowle Methodist Church South Bristol, Bedminster, St.Peter's and Parkway Methodist BS2 Methodist Churches and the Withywood Centre.

Please come and join us as we give them a warm Bristol welcome and celebrate the beginning of this exciting new chapter in ministry.

Tuesday, 1st September at 7:30 pm at SBMC – St Peter's, Brislington

✨ Cafe Church Highlights – Philippians 1 ✨
Yesterday at Cafe Church, we spent time diving deep into Philippians 1 together – sharing thoughts, asking questions, and encouraging one another as we explored Paul’s words.

One of the most powerful moments was when we each wrote our reflections onto paper chains, symbolising the chains Paul wore in prison. As we linked them all together and laid them over the cross, it was a beautiful reminder that even in hardship, God is at work and His message of hope continues to grow. ⛓️✝️
We also celebrated Father’s Day with cake (always a highlight! 🎂), taking time to honour not only our Heavenly Father, but also the amazing dads and father figures who bless our lives.

It was such a meaningful morning filled with community, creativity, and faith. 💛
