Clifton Diocese in partnership with ‘Light of Truth’ are offering ‘Priest, Prophet, and King - Our Baptismal Vocation’. This is an online session to discover the meaning of our baptismal vocation in Christ and our Mission at the service of the Church.

Clifton Diocese in partnership with ‘Light of Truth’ are covering the basic principles of catechesis. Suitable as an introduction for beginners or as a refresher for experienced catechists.

Join the Dominican Sisters on Saturdays in May from 9am to 12 noon for a short course of 3 sessions, to discover the essential nature and principles of catechesis, the sources of catechesis, and the best ways to prepare and deliver our catechesis. This course is open to everyone involved or interested in any kind of catechesis for adults, young people or children.

Three Saturday sessions, 9am-12 noon,

16 May: Session 1: What is Catechesis?

23 May: Session 2: Using the Bible and the Catechism

30 May: Session 3: Practicalities

‘Now is the Time’ is a Symposium to explore the teachings of Pope Leo in his Apostolic Exhortation ‘Dilexi Te’ (Love for the Poor) at St Brendan’s College, Brislington, on Saturday 30 May.

Our keynote speakers will be Bishop Bosco MacDonald, Sir John Battle KC*SG and Raymond Friel (CSAN).

We will start the day at 10am (refreshments from 9.30am) and finish at 4pm. Please bring a packed lunch.

Diocesan Day - now fully booked! Join our waiting list.

Thank you to everyone booked onto our Diocesan Day this year - we are now fully booked with 440 people attending the day. We have a waiting list if you haven't booked yet. If you would like to attend and still not booked on - you can join our waiting list by emailing [email protected] with details of your name & dietary requirements. If you are planning to bring children or young people with you please give their names and ages so that we can allocate them to the appropriate group. Please also indicate if they have any specific dietary needs.

The day is at Downside School & Abbey to celebrate the ‘Joy of Love’ with Patti Boulaye OBE. We will have Patti as our keynote speaker for our adult programme throughout the day, as well as a children’s & young people’s programme.

Programme for the Day - arrivals and refreshments from 10am. Our programme of prayer and talks will commence at 10.30am. The day will finish around 4.30pm (after 3.30pm Mass). Refreshments - in addition to coffee and tea breaks, a free hot lunch will be provided - this will be by booking only (a lunch box is provided for the children/young people). Mass - our celebration of Mass will take place in the Abbey Church at 3.30pm with the bishop.

Bishop Bosco warmly invites you to join him on Saturday 4 July for our Diocesan Day at Downside School & Abbey to celebrate the ‘Joy of Love’ with Patti Boulaye OBE.

We will have Patti as our keynote speaker for our adult programme throughout the day, as well as a children’s & young people’s programme.

Children and Teen-Age Jubilee Programme - A full programme of activities will be run by experienced group leaders for our children and young people ranging in age from 3-17. More details to follow.

Programme for the Day - Arrivals and refreshments from 10am. Our programme of prayer and talks will commence at 10.30am. The day will finish around 4.30pm (after 3.30pm Mass).

Refreshments - In addition to coffee and tea breaks, a free hot lunch will be provided - this will be by booking only (a lunch box is provided for the children). There will be a maximum of 400 tickets for this including children.

Mass - Our Jubilee Celebration of Mass will take place in the Abbey Church at 3.30pm. Principal Celebrant Bishop Bosco MacDonald.

Booking - If you would like to join us for the day, booking through Eventbrite is required. Please register via this link: https://joyoflove.eventbrite.co.uk for your free ticket.

For the purpose of catering to the right numbers & to meet our safeguarding requirements, booking through Eventbrite is essential.
