Hillside Methodist Church Hillside is a very dynamic church situated in the village of Brinscall in Lancashire. Sunday Morning Many thanks.

We at Hillside are committed to proclaiming the message of Christ which we find as relevant in today’s world as it was two thousand years ago. To this end, we offer various Bible studies for adults including Alpha, a youth club for our children, and an assortment of fellowship events in addition to our Sunday services. We also have a wonderful music ministry with an active choir. Hillside is the Methodist component in Brinscall St John’s C.E./Methodist Primary School and we are committed to our warm ongoing relationship with the students, parents and staff there. Throughout Covid our online presence was deeply blessed and enriched by Michaela Barker. Today we pray for her as she is received into full connexion and ordained. Next Saturday (4th July) we will be able to share in Michaela’s joy at Hillside Methodist Church at 1:30pm where we will share Holy Communion together and rejoice in Michaela’s journey.

Today at Hillside our worship was led by our own Janet and Geoff Horton. On Pentecost Sunday we are reminded of the descent of the Holy Spirit on Jesus’ Apostles and his other followers. As you will see from the video Geoff used the example of how a hot air balloon is filled powered by an invisible force. In the same way we can be filled with the invisible power of the Holy Spirit.
