As we embark on this Lenten journey, we're reminded of the 40 days Jesus spent in the wilderness, facing temptation and seeking guidance from God. This season invites us to reflect on our own wilderness experiences, where we face challenges and uncertainties.
In the wilderness, Jesus was tempted by the devil, but he resisted, choosing instead to trust in God's word. As we navigate our own wildernesses, we're called to do the same โ to trust in God's goodness, to seek His guidance, and to resist the temptations that seek to lead us astray.
Lent is a time for self-reflection, repentance, and renewal. It's a time to examine our lives, to identify areas where we can grow, and to seek God's forgiveness and healing.
As we journey through Lent, let's support one another, praying for each other and encouraging one another to stay focused on God's love.
If you're seeking a community to walk with, we'd love to welcome you. We're the Anglican Church of the Resurrection, Power Brighton (AMC), located in East Sussex. Join us as we journey through Lent, seeking God's presence and transformation in our lives.
