STACKers the Junior Church contingent of St Andrews have done some lovely work the last few weeks with the themes of peace and welcome.

Here is some of their beautiful work, and our statement of welcome which hangs in our Church foyer.

Let this be your invitation to feel welcome to come and visit St Andrews Moulsecoomb and enjoy the peace that prayer can bring.

We have our Church service at 10am on Sunday mornings, the Junior Church runs on the 2nd&4th Sundays except late July,August and around Christmas. Any child over 5yrs old is welcome to attend while their grownups attend the Church service. There is also a play corner in the Church for younger children.

We were so very pleased and proud to host this amazing service last night. Stunning turnout for a very special occasion. A huge well done to all the people who put in so much work to make it happen and a very big congratulations to all of the persons Baptized & Confirmed. God has called you by name and you are his❤️🙏🏼

We are really looking forward to our upcoming Summer Fayre on Saturday 13th June!

We have a lot of wonderful prizes for our grand raffle from lots of lovely local businesses.

On the day there will be yummy food, homemade cakes, Jams & Chutneys, games , tombolas, plants and fabulous wares from local crafters and good vibes all round!

So why not come and join us and support a local need, and have a good day aswell!

All funds raised at this Fayre will be funnelled directly into our community support works.

We are very excited to announce the successful appointment of our new Rector and very much look forward to welcoming REVD Dr James Harding to our Church and community. He will be officially licenced into our Church on 20th July at 7.30pm. We hope you will join us in praying for him & his family as they transition to a new home here.

We are delighted to welcome The Revd Dr James Harding to his new appointment as Rector of Moulsecoomb with Bevendean and Coldean.

James is currently Director of St Mellitus College South West, SSM Associate Minister at Charles with Plymouth St Matthias and St Simon (Diocese of Exeter), and a Public Preacher in the Diocese of Truro.

His appointment was announced on Sunday 19 April 2026. He will be licensed on Monday 20 July 2026 at 7.30pm at St Andrew’s, Hillside, Moulsecoomb, Brighton, BN2 4TA. The service will be collated by the Bishop of Lewes and James will be inducted by the Archdeacon of Brighton and Lewes. The Liturgical Chaplain will be The Revd Stephen Merriman.

Please pray for James, his family, and the parish as they prepare to welcome this new ministry.

Holy Nativity Church Bevendean is now available for Weddings, Baptisms and funerals as well as being a venue for hire for events!

For those that do not know there is also a Thursday evening Church Service at 7.30pm in this Church. All Are Welcome!
