2 Corinthians 4:8-9

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”

Your circumstances may tell you, “This is the end.”
But God can say, “This is not the end.”

Have a blessed week ahead! Whatever you face this week, remember: 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙗𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙘𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙙; 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙭𝙚𝙙, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙧; 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙙, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙙; 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙠 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙮𝙚𝙙. May the life of Jesus shine through you in everything you do. ❤️

Life isn't about possessions. It's important to keep a proper perspective on what you own, or else your possessions might control you. Remember, nothing lasts forever.

Jesus warns in Luke 12:15, “Watch out and guard yourselves from every kind of greed; because your true life is not made up of the things you own, no matter how rich you may be” (GNT).

Never measure your self-worth by your wealth. Your value isn't determined by possessions. Remember, the most valuable things in life aren’t material. You entered this world with nothing and will leave with nothing. Life isn’t about accumulating things or achievements; it’s about building relationships and learning to love God and others.

The best way to remember that your life is not about material possessions is to focus on eternal priorities. Concentrate on what lasts forever. Since possessions are temporary, don’t base your life on accumulating things. Only two things are eternal: God's Word and people. You face a choice. The world encourages you to acquire more for happiness, success, importance, value, and security. But you must decide: will you listen to the doctor or the Master? To culture or to Christ? To the world or to the Word? One path leads to lifelong dissatisfaction; the other brings true happiness.

Before pursuing financial freedom, ask yourself: “What is the main purpose of my life? Is it just to get more? What do I think about, talk about, and focus on? What am I living for?”

Look around; many people have plenty to live on. You see celebrities and successful businesspeople with overflowing bank accounts. They may have a lot financially but might have little to live for.

What about you? Do you have a lot to live on, but also something to live for? Do you have a relationship with God? The world’s myth is that you can have it all, but the truth is, you can’t. Most importantly, you don’t need everything to be happy. Happiness is a choice.

Finding true contentment isn't about accumulating possessions; it's about embracing your identity in Christ.

The Living Bible paraphrase says, “But as for me, my contentment is not in wealth but in seeing you and knowing all is well between us. And when I awake in heaven, I will be fully satisfied, for I will see you face-to-face” (Psalm 17:15).

“If God gives us wealth and property and lets us enjoy them, we should be grateful and enjoy what we have worked for. It is a gift from God.”
Ecclesiastes 5:19 (GNT)

The Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:17 that God “richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment” (NIV). That’s the kind of God we serve. He gave us the world for our enjoyment! But here’s the problem: We’re so busy getting more that we don’t enjoy what we’ve got.

The secret of contentment is to learn to enjoy what God has given you. Ecclesiastes 5:19 says, “If God gives us wealth and property and lets us enjoy them, we should be grateful and enjoy what we have worked for. It is a gift from God” (GNT).

Instead of constantly seeking more, focus on appreciating what you already have. Open your eyes, acknowledge God's blessings, and take pleasure in them. One of my favorite moments is watching the sunrise from our yard slope. I placed a simple deck chair there many years ago; I bought it at Target, and it wasn’t costly. It’s faded and has a few broken slats, but I love sitting in that old, worn chair and witnessing the sunrise—it brings me great joy. Would my happiness increase if I sat in a diamond-encrusted recliner instead? No, it wouldn't. Interestingly, not having such luxury adds a perk: it won't get stolen! Ask yourself, “What am I not appreciating right now?” Many of us fall into “when and then” thinking: “When this happens, then I’ll be happy,” like “getting a boyfriend,” “getting married,” “having kids,” or “kids leaving for school.” But the truth is, happiness is a matter of choice—you can be happy now. If you’re not happy presently, more won't change that. Happiness depends on attitude, not circumstances. I could show you two neighbors—one miserable, one joyful—and the difference isn't their situation but their mindset. If you’re unhappy with your current situation, more won't satisfy you, because you'll always want a little more. Happiness is a conscious choice. Decide today to enjoy what God has given you.

Romans 8:11
“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”

The same resurrection life giving Holy Spirit that rose Jesus from the dead lives in those with Jesus in their heart. He desires to bring life to every part of your body, to strengthen those areas you're struggling with, and to renew your mind as you spend time in God's Word. He'll resurrect those dreams you've given up on if you're willing to follow His leading. He is God in you, God with you, and God for you. He wants to bring out the very best version of you that you never thought possible. Spend time daily with God and reflect on all that Jesus has done for you. Thank Jesus today that He sent us the precious Holy Spirit to be our comforter, guide and strength.
