We'd like to thank Blue Cross UK and the staff and customers of Pets UK Brighouse, for their generous support during their annual appeal. We are well stocked up now with dog and cat food, removing some of the worry for our clients who are pet owners. During this year's appeal, nationally £341,848.76 was raised and 33,684 pet food parcels were donated, which is incredible. Thank you to all involved.

We're looking for a local business who would like to sponsor our t-shirts 🤞🏻
Sponsorship would cover the costs of providing t-shirts to our hard working volunteers. We wear them every Friday at the Foodbank, and also at local community events, corporate events, visits to schools, churches and charitable functions.

Thank you to everybody who has chosen our box for your Tesco blue tokens over the weekend :) Please keep those tokens coming, if we win we'll be spending the money on breakfast and lunch items to put in our school children holiday food parcels.

We'd like to say a big thank you to anybody and everybody who has donated an item of food into our new donation point in Sainsbury's on Crowtrees Lane in Rastrick. We're so grateful to the staff at Sainsbury'sSainsbury's for facilitating this, and to the customers of course for donating. The last few weeks have been incredibly busy for us, we are experiencing long queues of people coming to us for help each Friday. As you can imagine, we are getting through dozens of carrier bags each week. If you have any to spare, please do bring them to us - we are here at the Foodbank every Friday between 9am and 3pm, or you can pop them into Walter the Wheelie Bin who is outside the Foodbank 24/7. Carrier bags are our preference but we welcome bags for life too.

When you’re struggling, the world can feel heavy and disconnected. It can be exhausting. If you’re experiencing thoughts of su***de, it’s easy to feel like you’re alone with no way out. But there is hope, and there is support waiting for you. Please know you don’t have to go through this alone.

If you are considering donating any food items to us this week, we currently have a lengthy shopping list, so lots to choose from:

Sugar
Tins of meatballs in tomato sauce
Dilute squash
Crisps
Instant mashed potato - both individual sachets and multi packs/family size
Packets of pasta in sauce
Biscuits - small packets and family size
Mayonnaise
Crackers
Tins of corned beef
Tins of rice pudding
Tins of chilli con carne

Donations can be dropped off at the Foodbank on Fridays between 9am and 3pm (from 9.30am this Friday due to staffing) or at any of our collection points:

We frequently refer our clients to our friends at Focus4Hope, for the wraparound advice that they are able to offer regarding finances and budgeting. Without this kind of signposting, our support can become a sticking plaster to the underlying problem. We're therefore delighted that they are once again offering this excellent budgeting course.
