St Peter's Church, Catcott

Today at 11am there was a service at All Saints Church in Ashcott to launch the new United Poldens Churches Benefice. Unfortunately Rich Tweedy was unable to be with us due to a serious family illness, and the service was taken by Bishop Trevor Willmott. The music was provided by Polden Praise and singers who have previously sung with the MOMSS choir. The service was followed by a substantial 'Bring and Share' lunch with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Many thanks to the team at Ashcott who provided the liquid refreshment and tidied up after us.
We now look forward to new beginnings!

Creator God, as we celebrate the Festival of Creation in Christ today, we give thanks for the beautiful world you have gifted to us. Help us to recognise our responsibility to cherish it; to stop damaging it, and to commit ourselves to doing all that we can to safeguard the integrity of your creation.

Please remember this meeting on Thursday evening. No clashes with the football, so why not come along, find out what the current thoughts are about the project at the Church, and let us know your thoughts. This is the time to tell us, before we progress any further. It is open to anyone, you don't need to be an active member of the congregation, but just have an interest in the future of the Church.
