Creator God, as we celebrate the Festival of Creation in Christ today, we give thanks for the beautiful world you have gifted to us. Help us to recognise our responsibility to cherish it; to stop damaging it, and to commit ourselves to doing all that we can to safeguard the integrity of your creation.

The beginning of a new era - we mark the formation of the new Benefice - The United Polden Churches - with a Benefice Service at All Saints Church, Ashcott on Sunday 13th September. Please come and join us and enjoy a time of fellowship as we enjoy a 'Bring and Share' lunch after the service.
Other highlights are the Harvest Services and a Prayers for Peace service.
This post has been updated to reflect a couple of changes in services held at Moorlinch. The Team Service on 27th September will be at 10am (and not 9.30am as previously advertised). In addition, there will be 10am Harvest Service at Moorlinch on 4th October (not shown on the poster).

Please remember this meeting on Thursday evening. No clashes with the football, so why not come along, find out what the current thoughts are about the project at the Church, and let us know your thoughts. This is the time to tell us, before we progress any further. It is open to anyone, you don't need to be an active member of the congregation, but just have an interest in the future of the Church.

Once again there is a good selection of Services taking place throughout the Benefice, and you would be very welcome to attend any one of them, even if it doesn't happen to be your local Church.
There are also the regular coffee mornings - monthly in Edington and Catcott, and weekly in Ashcott.
Burtle have the spectacle of the Pip'n Jay Car run on Saturday 4th July with Bacon butties available in the morning, and cream teas in the afternoon, and Ashcott have their 'Posh Afternoon Tea' on Sunday 12th July.
Catcott will be holding a public meeting on 16th July with information about the St Peter's Access Project.

Today marks Day 1 of Thy Kingdom Come 2026. ✨

As this year’s global wave of prayer begins, we invite you to join us over the next 11 days in praying, ‘Come Holy Spirit’, asking God to renew us by His Spirit and help us share His love with the Five people we are holding in prayer.

Let us pray that the Spirit will make us effective witnesses to our Five loved ones. 🙏

Oh Lord, never suffer us to think that we can stand by ourselves and not need You.
In Jesus name,
Amen.

In May there are a couple of services listed that take place outside of the Polden Wheel - in the Moorlinch and Stawell Churches. At some time in the future these parishes will merge with the Polden Wheel Churches to form a new group. It is good to be able to start sharing our worship and building new friendships.

Those eagle-eyed among you will have noticed that on the earlier April Services Poster, the Sunday 3rd May 9am Service is listed as being at Ashcott, but it is in fact at Catcott. As mentioned before the St Peter's Church (Catcott) service will be at 9am instead of the usual 9.30. This is to allow attendance at the 10am service at St Mary's Church, Moorlinch where the new Bishop of Taunton, Fiona Gibson, is taking the Communion Service.
