This Saturday coming…….

Halloween Wild Church! 4pm Saturday 29th October.

All Hallows eve (halloween) means Holy eve and is the night before All Saints Day. On this day the Church celebrates all those who have been pioneers, and role models, in the way they folllow Jesus to be light in the darkness. For the Celts, Halloween was the festival that marked the end of the summer (harvest) and signalled the beginning of winter. Traditionally people dress up for Halloween - this is not about celebrating darkness but rather making fun of the darkness. It is saying that there is nothing we fear. We remember that the light of Jesus is always there and is bigger than anything else we face and that ultimately we are held, and can trust, in God’s bigger eternal story.
