Everyone is welcome to come to the Eucharist tomorrow at 10 am. It's the First Sunday after Trinity, which is a long season. It varies from year to year how long it is, but this year, the last Sunday after Trinity will be on 25th October. The colour that the clergy will wear is green. It is sign of the life and beauty that we see through the summer months. God bless you all.

It's CORPUS CHRISTI!

Latin for ‘Body of Christ’ Corpus Christi may also be referred to as
‘Thanksgiving for Holy Communion.’

It commemorates the institution of the Eucharist by Jesus
at the Last Supper.

And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it,
and gave it to them, saying,
“This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying,
“This cup is the new covenant in my blood,
which is poured out for you.”
Luke 22:19-20

Some churches in a more catholic tradition process through the streets on Corpus Christi. The Blessed Sacrament is held aloft by a priest, as a public statement that Christ's sacrifice was for the whole world.

Jesus is always present among us.
The Thanksgiving for Holy Communion celebrates our Christian unity in, and as, the Body of Christ.

Jesus, Bread of Life,
feed our faith,
help us to share our resources fairly,
help us to find joy in our differences,
and help us to love one another
as you have loved us.
Amen.

Happy Pride Month everyone!

At St David’s we wish to be as inclusive as we possibly can be. We aim to welcome all God's Children, including our LGBTQ+ friends. They have faced discrimination and persecution for centuries, and they continue to do so. We are proud to stand with them, and campaign for the day when all of God's people are treated with the love and respect that all deserve.

So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.

There is NO service at St David’s Bettws tomorrow. There is a Eucharist at St David’s Wyndham (CF32 7HH) at 10.30am. This will be the only service in the Pedair Afon Ministry Area.
Tomorrow is Trinity Sunday. It's the only day in the Church’s calendar that is dedicated to a doctrine of the Church. We believe in one God. However, the Father is God the Son (that is Jesus) is God, the Holy Spirit is God. Three persons but one God. Don't worry if you don't understand this. It is a mystery and Tomorrow is about rejoicing in the mystery that is God.

Everyone is welcome to come to the Eucharist tomorrow. It's a very special day, it's Pentecost otherwise know as Whitsunday. 50 days after Jesus rose from the dead and 10 days after he ascended in to heaven, the Holy Spirit came upon the apostles and they rushed out into Jerusalem without fear, spreading the news that Jesus is alive. It is the day that Church was born. So it's our birthday!

Everyone is welcome to come to the Service of the Word tomorrow at 10 am. It's the Seventh and final Sunday of Easter. Last Thursday we celebrated the Ascension of Jesus, when he returned to be with the Father, but reminds us that no matter what difficulties we are going through he is always with us. It'll be the last time this year we'll say Alleluia! Christ is Risen! He is Risen indeed, Alleluia!
