We are taking part in the church trail, visit all 7 churches in our Ministry Area collect a stickers at each church you visit, and see how many you can discover! ✨

At St Illtyd’s Church, there will be plenty to enjoy:

🔔 Bell Ringing – 10am -Hear our bells ringing out and discover more about this wonderful tradition.

💐 Flower Arranging Demonstrations Come and admire the beautiful floral displays.

🎶 Organ Recital – 3pm -Enjoy the wonderful sound of our organ in a special afternoon recital.

☕ Refreshments -Take a break, enjoy a cuppa and some refreshments, and soak up the friendly atmosphere.

Whether you’re interested in history, music, architecture, flowers, or simply fancy a lovely day out, everyone is welcome!

A brilliant community day is coming to Bridgend! On 19 September, seven of the Penybont Ministry Area churches will open their doors with activities, heritage displays, bell‑ringing, music and refreshments from 10am–4pm as part of Ogwr History Month and the History Society’s Open Bridgend celebrations.

Collect a stamp at each church — complete all seven and win a prize.

At St Teilo’s, Merthyr Mawr, enjoy lots of homemade cakes, savouries, and hot Welsh cakes baked in front of you.

A warm welcome awaits across the whole Ministry Area. ⛪ 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲?

🗺️ On Saturday 19th September, eight churches across the The Ministry Area Of Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr area will be opening their doors from 10am–4pm, with visitors challenged to see how many they can visit.

🔔 There’s plenty happening throughout the day, including bell ringing, guided tours, historical talks and displays, live music, flower demonstrations, activities and refreshments.

⭐ There’s a challenge too – collect a sticker from each church and complete the full set to win a prize!

🏘️ Taking part are churches in Pen-y-fai, Laleston, Merthyr Mawr, Newcastle, Nolton, Coity, Brackla and Coychurch.

👏 A fantastic opportunity to step inside some of our historic local churches, learn more about their stories and enjoy everything they have planned for the day.

Such an amazing Easter Sunday service this morning led my Fr Roger. Church was filled with 63 people attending the service. Thank you to every one who attended and helped out with this service. All six bells were ringing! The church looks fantastic with the decorations.

Remember no service in Coity next Sunday. There will be a 9:30 service Merthyr Mawr, St Teilo's Church
