🌅 Shoreline: Exploring Faith by the Sea...

Shoreline is back for September! A seeker-friendly course exploring Christian faith through gentle outdoor practices in beach and woodland settings.

Free, one-hour sessions, starting at 7pm and running over four weeks, following a simple and repeatable rhythm.

As the evening light settles over the shoreline, we’ll walk together along the beach, making space for reflection, conversation, and stillness beside the sea.

We are encouraging people to come as they are to walk, reflect, listen, and wonder

☕ We’ll also be heading to St Illtyd’s and St Cattwg’s for a hot drink at the end of each session for our reflections.

• SEPT 3rd — Longing & Wonder: spiritual curiosity
• SEPT 10th — In the Storm: what anchors us?
• SEPT 17th — Belonging: a space where everyone is invited
• SEPT 24th — Calling: an invitation to walk further

Ministry and Mission areas in the Church in Wales are being invited to a free event to highlight the benefits of the Parish Buying scheme, which uses collective purchasing power to secure discounted prices for goods and services.

Parish Buying is a joint procurement service of the Church of England and the Church in Wales. Its annual event for 2026 (28/08/2026; 09:30-14:30) is being held at St Mary Redcliffe, one of Bristol's most iconic and beautiful historic churches. This free, full-day event brings together parishes from across the country for a day of expert talks, one-to-one conversations with our specialist team, and the chance to meet approved suppliers.

Whether you are looking for new products and services for your church, want to hear from industry experts, or simply want to connect with fellow church staff and volunteers, this is a day not to be missed. The day will feature Three expert talks covering Income Generation for Churches, Giving for Churches, and GDPR for Churches, led by speakers who understand the unique challenges facing churches today.

Two breakout sessions where you can drop in and speak directly with our Parish Buying Category Officers, each specialising in a different area including energy, facilities maintenance, income generation, and more. This is your chance to ask questions, get expert advice, and explore what Parish Buying can do for your Ministry or Mission Area.

The supplier marketplace will be open throughout the entire day, giving you the freedom to browse and meet our approved suppliers at your own pace alongside the programme.

🌊🥾 Breakfast at Pwll Du Bay - Beach Walk & Creative Reflection 🥾🌊

Join us for a beautiful morning walk to **Pwll Du Bay**, where we'll enjoy breakfast on the beach, take part in a simple creative activity, and spend time reflecting together in one of Gower's most peaceful coastal settings.

📅 When: Saturday 22 August 2026
🕥 Time: 10:30am

After our walk down to the bay, we'll enjoy breakfast on the beach (please bring your own food, cooking equipment, and anything else you need for the morning).

We'll then take part in a creative activity using natural materials found on the beach. You're invited to create a simple picture, symbol, or word in the sand using shells, pebbles, seaweed, or driftwood. Afterwards, we'll take time to quietly view one another's creations and, for those who wish, share reflections with the group.

As you listen to the waves and soak in the stunning surroundings, there will be space to pause, reflect, and connect.

ℹ️ Important Information

✅ Everyone is welcome. Please note that the route descends into and climbs back out of Pwll Du Bay, with some steep sections along the way. Please consider your own fitness level before attending, as the walk may not be suitable for those with certain accessibility needs.

🐕 Dogs are welcome, provided they are well-behaved and kept on a lead at all times. This is for the comfort and safety of all participants and due to livestock on parts of the route. Please also consider whether the steep and rocky terrain is suitable for your dog.

👟 Footwear: Sturdy trainers or walking shoes are strongly recommended due to the uneven, steep, and rocky ground.

🎒 Please bring:
• Your own breakfast
• Cooking equipment (if required)
• Drinking water
• Suitable clothing for the weather
• Sturdy footwear

Come and enjoy good company, fresh sea air, creativity, and a chance to slow down and reflect beside the sea.
