This Lord's Day we're continuing our Communion Season grounded in Psalm 22.

At Communion in morning worship we'll be thinking of the suffering of Christ, the scorn, the violence, so visibly portrayed at the Table - let us remember and not forget!

At our Thanksgiving service at evening worship we'll be thinking about what the closing verses of the Psalm tell us about how we should respond to the saving work of Christ, for us, and for all for whom he laid down his life.

Here's what we have planned for this Lord's Day, God-willing.

In morning worship Rev. Stephen Neilly will be leading worship and preaching on "The Power of the Word of God" from 1 KIngs 22.

In evening worship Rev. Paul Wallace will be beginning our Communion Season with our Pre-Communion Service in preparation for Communion next Lord's Day morning. Throughout the Communion Season we will be looking at Psalm 22 that so vividly describes our Saviour's suffering. We begin by looking at those words which Christ spoke on the cross "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

Visitors always welcome to all of our services.

Here's what we have planned for this Lord's Day, God-willing.

In morning worship we're contining to look at the man areas of life that come under the application of the Fifth Commandment and this week we're going to be thinking about authority and submission in marriage.

In evening worship as we continue through 1 John, we're looking at a marvellous passage that sets before us the amazing Love of God and how it has been revealed to us in His Son Jesus Christ.

Come along and join with us in worshipping the God who is love.

What's on this week in Bready RPC? God-willing in morning worship we'll be looking at the applications of the fifth commandment to our relationship with the government or state. What is the state? What authority does it have over us? Are we bound to obey it? In all circumstances? This is a subject that was of great importance in the 17th century and is of great importance in our days too. We'll be looking at what Romans 13:1-7 has to say to us as well as some other massively important texts of Scripture.

In evening worship we're looking forward to our annual praise service where we'll be singing and thinking about a selection of psalms which draw contrasts between God and us - and how Christ is the one who reconciles the often great and otherwise unbridgeable gaps between us. We'll be having supper after.

You will always be made most welcome to any of our worship services.

Looking ahead a week - we looking forward to our annual praise service on the Lord's Day evening 17th May at 6:30pm and we'd love for you to come and join us.

At our praise service we don't have the usual sermon, but rather we think about a theme from the psalms, sing some psalms related to that theme, and draw out lessons from each of them.

This year our theme is the contrasts, the differences between God and us.

Some of those contrasts have eternal consequences and are deeply troubling, like God's holiness as compared to our sinfulness. But some of them are encouraging and give us us hope - God is compassionate and wlling to forgive, and powerful and able to change us, indeed he promises to if we will trust in his Son who bridges the gap between us and God.

So plan to come along and join us - they'll be supper after.

Here's what we have planned for this Lord's Day, God-willing.

We're back to the 10 Commandments Sabbath morning, looking at the Fifth Commandment and how it's essential meaning can be applied to the Church. Our text will be be Hebrew 13:7-19 where we will see how the people are to respond to and relate to their leaders, and how the leaders are to relate as leaders to the people.

In evening worship we'll be listening to a warning and exhortation that the Apostle John gives to his readers, "test the spirits" that is be careful who you listen to and read, not all teachers are faithful teachers. John tells us to test, but he also gives us some guidelines for how to test. This is a very necessary and important text for us to attend to in these days when so many books are available, so many websites, so many Youtube videos. Who and what is safe for us to heed?

Visitors always welcome.
