This Sunday we will be holding our Annual Parochial Church meetings as part of out 9:30am worship. During our worship we will pause to give thanks for the past year in the life of our church, elect those who will take leadership roles in our fellowship, and offer up the future to God's blessing before joining together in Holy Communion. It's pancake day, it's pancake day, it's... well, you know the song - it's Pancake Day! Also known as Shrove Tuesday, this was traditionally the day people would use up their (then) luxury items of eggs, sugar and butter into pancakes ready for the 40-day fast in the season of Lent.

Speaking of Lent, we start this period of reflection and preparation for Easter with a special service this Ash Wednesday (18th) starting at 7:30pm during which we reflect on our past wrongdoing and seek God's forgiveness ahead of the Easter celebration. The service includes music and penitential ('saying sorry') prayers with the option for those who wish to have the sign of the cross made on their forehead in ash as a sign of repentance and trust in Jesus' power to save us from our sins through the power of his sacrifice on the cross. All are welcome to join us for this service.

All are most welcome to join us for the first of what we hope will be many future collaborations.
