Jesus comforts. πŸ•ŠοΈ Psalm34v18: The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in Spirit. Psalm10v17 Lord, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them. πŸ“– Life's 'happenings' don't always go as we hoped. Every day isn't always filled with the peace and joy we'd imagined from childhood. Many were brought up in the 'school of hard knocks', suffering misery, beating and abuse, it's a sad reflection of life in this fallen world. The good news is that life doesn't have to continue that way, our Father God had a plan from the beginning and that plan was to send His Son, Jesus into the world so that all 'who are weary and heavy laden' can turn to Him. He restores our soul, He brings forgiveness and healing, He feeds us with His Word, promises us newness of life and a heavenly home for eternity. Accepted in Jesus Colossians ch1v13 For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves. Ephesians ch1v6 He has made us accepted in the beloved. πŸ“– Maybe the world has rejected us, family, friends, loved ones may have turned away leaving us lost, lonely and wondering why. I've heard of many who have felt hopeless and helpless but have called on Jesus and He's turned their lives around, giving them friends and family they thought wasn't possible, making them accepted and healed of hurts. We live in the same hurting world that Jesus came to, two thousand years ago, but He's changed countless lives, from rejected to accepted and continues to do so. Jesus with us. πŸ˜‡ Luke ch24v29 They urged Him strongly, 'Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over'. v21 ... we had hoped that He was the one who was going to redeem Israel. πŸ“– The two disciples on the Emmaus road were so pleased to have met this 'stranger' who walked with them. They gave their thoughts to Him, saying they thought the one who had recently been crucified would be there saviour, come to save Israel and we're disappointed that they thought they'd got it wrong. But then, Jesus gives His version of events, explaining from Moses and the prophets. They soon realised that this man was different, their hearts became excited as He spoke,, they wanted Him to stay with them and when they sat together to eat, He first shared the bread with them, blessing and giving thanks when suddenly, their eyes were open and they knew who He was. When we bring Jesus into our discussions, especially in breaking bread together, He becomes real to us. Rhema is the Word we've been using this week and when Jesus is real, or rhema to us, we never want to leave Him. πŸ™πŸΌWith love, Rich πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ™ŒπŸ½

Jesus living Word. πŸ‘‘ Luke ch24v32 Did not our heart burn within us, while He talked with us by the way, and while He opened to us the scriptures. πŸ“– The two disciples discussed Jesus as they walked along the Emmaus road. It wasn't until Jesus brought the Word to life that they understood. Many still debate about Jesus but don't understand, it's not until He gives His rhema, living revelation that we begin to understand. Meditate or speak the scriptures asking the Holy Spirit to bring living, rhema words from them. The two disciples hearts 'burned within them' as Jesus revealed the scriptures, in the same way, our heart will burn, or become excited as we receive His rhema living Word. πŸ™πŸΌWith love, Rich πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ˜‡

Jesus, the Rhema Word. πŸ‘‘ Hebrews ch4v12 For the Word of God is alive and powerful. Sharper than any two-edged sword. Romans ch10v17. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the (rhΔ“ma) Word of God. πŸ“– The Logos, is the written, foundational Word which we take into our spirit as we read the bible, while the Rhema Word is the fresh, dynamic Word that the Holy Spirit enlightens or reveals to us for a specific or given situation. For example, I was once in Spain and I was approached by someone from a different land when the Holy Spirit revealed to me what land this person was from. I had previously learned her language and was able to share rhema words of God with her, bringing great blessing to her. The Holy Spirit used the Word of knowledge, telling me the language she spoke, and a rhema word, drawn from the logos word already within me, leading her to salvation.
