Have you ever wondered about the relevance of the Bible, how it all fits together or what it's big story is? Starting this Thursday 10 September, and every month after that, Fly Through the Bible answers those questions. Using video talks it provides an overview of the Bible story. It is at 10 am in Church House hall, (across St Michael's Lane at the bottom of the churchyard), and includes refreshments.

This Sunday 6 September we have our Church Family Worship at 10 am. There is a monthly said communion, using the Book of Common Prayer at 4.00 pm and Evening Worship at 6.30 pm.

If you are looking for somewhere to take your baby or toddler midweek, Tiddlywinks could be the best place to start. There are songs, a story, craft, followed by refreshments and lots of toys. It resumes after the summer break next Tuesday 8 September at 1.15 to 2.45 p.m. and is on every Tuesday in term time. It is in the main hall at St Michael's Church House , across St Michael's Lane at the bottom of the churchyard.

St Michael's Church in Braintree is open on the first Thursday of every month which is Thursday 3 September. Drop in to enjoy refreshments, a quiet chat, or have a look round the building. Doors open at 10 am until noon.

Whether you are a regular churchgoer or not, you will find a warm welcome at St Michael's Church.

This Sunday 28 August we have a family communion service at 10.00 am. There is a creche room at the back of the church with lots of toys and books which you are welcome to go with your child if they need it.

In the evening we will be joining Braintree Churches Together for a joint service at the Fountain of Life church in East Street. Please note this starts at 6.00 pm.

The Cream Tea and open afternoon is next Monday 17 August, at St Michael's Church House, St Michael's Lane. Cream teas are served at 2.30, with more tea, cake and ice-cream later in the afternoon. There will be gluten and dairy-free alternatives. All are welcome, but please book by signing the list in church, or if you can't, email [email protected]
