Just re-living all the fun we had at our cooking club a couple of weeks ago! Such a great team of children, who really worked hard and were absolute professionals when it came to serving these people in our community!

🍽️❤️ LITTLE CHEFS, BIG HEARTS!! SERVING DAY! ❤️🍰

What an absolutely amazing day we had!

Our Little Chefs were absolutely fantastic today as they put everything they had learned into practice and served the delicious food they had prepared yesterday to our lovely ladies group. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

The children welcomed the ladies, took their food and drink orders, and then got busy serving everyone their homemade quiche with a fresh side salad. 🥧🥗

And of course, there was still room for dessert! 🧁❤️ The children proudly served the cupcakes they had baked and decorated themselves.

Watching them confidently walk around taking orders, carrying food and drinks, serving others and working together was honestly so heartwarming. They showed such wonderful manners, confidence, teamwork and kindness. Also got to try some quiche and a cupcake they all made 🥳🥳

And then came the moment that made us all smile… ❤️

The children were given a massive round of applause from the ladies for all their hard work! 👏👏👏

But they didn’t stop there! Once everyone had finished, our Little Chefs helped clean everything away, before heading outside for some games and a well-deserved bit of fun in the garden. ☀️🎈

This project has been about so much more than cooking. It’s been about learning new skills, building confidence, working together, making connections across generations and giving something back to our community. ❤️

And for me, today was very bittersweet. ❤️

This was my last event working at The Salvation Army, and I honestly couldn’t have wished for a better way to end my journey.

To finish my time here watching children cook, serve, care for others and bring so much joy to our community feels incredibly special.

I am so proud of what we have created, the memories we’ve made and, most importantly, the wonderful people I’ve had the privilege of working alongside.

What an amazing way to end my journey. ❤️

🍽️❤️ LITTLE CHEFS, BIG HEARTS ❤️🍰

What a fantastic first day our Little Chefs have had! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Today was all about cooking, creativity, teamwork and having fun — and the children were absolutely brilliant! 🌟

We started by deciding what they wanted to put into our delicious quiches. The children then worked in pairs to prepare everything completely from scratch. They followed recipes, carefully weighed and measured their ingredients and worked together to create their own quiches. 🥚🧀🥧

They also did the same with the cupcakes following instructions and making sure they used the correct amount, then baked and decorated them 🧁✨ — and they certainly got creative with their decorations!

The children then made special menus for our lovely ladies group, so tomorrow they can see exactly what ingredients went into the food they will be enjoying. 💕🍽️

We also played some outdoor games, giving everyone a chance to have fun, get some fresh air and enjoy themselves. ☀️🎯

We are SO proud of how well everyone worked together. They showed fantastic teamwork, patience, creativity and confidence throughout the day. 👏❤️

Tomorrow is the exciting part… our Little Chefs will be serving the meal they prepared to our lovely ladies group! 🍽️❤️

What a wonderful opportunity for our children to learn new skills, build confidence and, most importantly, give back to their community.

We had so much fun with our Megamakers this week!!!
This Sunday - we'll have a final celebration - the MegaMachine will be tested once more - we'll watch the highlights video - we'll sing our theme song - we'll recap what we learned this week.
It's a relaxed church service, sat round tables with coffee and pastries, and you are so welcome to join us, whether you were with us for Megamakers or not!

🎉🚀 Day 3… and what a fantastic way to finish our Holiday Club! 🚀🎉

What an incredible three days we’ve had, filled with fun, laughter, learning and making new friends.

Today the children became scientists and engineers once again! They created their own balloon-powered cars and watched in amazement as the balloons made them race along. They also had the chance to experiment with an electric car, watching it pull their homemade trailers and discovering how different forces can make things move.

It’s been wonderful to see every child grow in confidence, work together as a team, and get stuck into every challenge with such enthusiasm. We’ve loved sharing these few days with you all and, of course, learning more about just how much God loves us. 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and to our amazing volunteers who made it all possible.

🧪🚀 Day 2 of Holiday Club complete! 🚀🧪

What another fantastic morning we’ve had!

Today’s challenge was to to work in their teams for an experiment, the children had to protect an egg using recycled materials and then one of our leaders dropped it from the top of a ladder to see if it would survive the fall! 🥚

A huge well done to The Architects, whose incredible designs meant every single egg survived! 🏆

We were so impressed with all of the children. They showed brilliant teamwork, creativity and determination, and it was wonderful to see everyone encouraging one another throughout the challenge.

🚀 What an amazing first day of our Mega Makers Holiday Club! 🧪✨

We had a fantastic morning full of fun and laughter! The children became scientists for the morning, we put a small loaf of bread into our Mega Machine… and out came a giant loaf! 🤩 They also got creative by designing and making their own amazing inventions, letting their imaginations run wild.

We sang songs about just how much God loves us and enjoyed delicious rocket fruit kebabs to fuel us for even more fun.

It was wonderful to see everyone having such a great time! 💙

Over two fun-filled days, children will:
