In 'Tiny steps' at Al-Falah Centre, our focus on "Keeping Clean" went beyond just the basics. We created 'Wudu steps circles' to visually understand the steps of wudhu and reinforced the importance of cleanliness in our daily lives. The children learned the dua for when it rains and got their hands a little muddy planting cress seeds, connecting the idea of rain to growth.
The learning continued as we shifted our focus to "Preparing for Hajj." Creativity flowed as we designed our own Hajj Suitcases. The children coloured them in and stuck on essentials that they would take with them. We discussed how the global Muslim community take diverse routes from around the world to make their way to perform hajj.
We also focused on the letters ص and ض as the children learned to pronounce the letters as well as practise how to write them.
