We do, however, carve out a special place here for teenagers, young adults and families. Vicar: Rev'd Canon Robin Gamble

Great to join together for this service at Easter!

An EPIC night as 14 were baptised: nine from our parish, three from St Luke's, Eccleshill, one from St John's, Greengates and one from Holy Trinity, Idle. This is the crowd of family and friends watching and supporting as each person had a fresh start with Jesus! They went into the water and came out as if born again, new and clean at the start of their life as a Jesus follower.
We've run out of words for how good God is but we won't forget tonight in a looooong while! 🙌🙌🙌

Storm Dave did its best, but we were able to light (and keep lit) all the Pascal candles from across the churches of North East Bradford.
As we look to celebrate the risen Jesus across the churches tomorrow, it was great to join together tonight and throughout the week to worship, reflect, praise and pray!

Good Friday Reflection

Today we stand at the foot of the cross.

Good Friday is a day of stillness, of sorrow, and of deep reflection. We remember the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who gave himself in love for the world. In the darkness of this day, we see the depth of God’s compassion, a love ❤️ that does not turn away from pain, but enters into it.

The cross is not only a symbol of suffering, but of redemption. In what seemed like defeat, God was working salvation. In the silence of the tomb, hope was already beginning to stir.

As we pause today, may we take time to reflect on the cost of that love, to bring before God our own burdens, and to pray for a world still in need of healing, mercy, and peace.

Let us wait in quiet trust, knowing that even in the darkest moments, God is present and that Easter hope is on the horizon.

"We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you, because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world."

Amen🙏
