Minhaj-ul-Quran International UK Hosts Grand Sirah Conference at Jamia Masjid Madinah Sheffield

On 7 June, Minhaj-ul-Quran International UK hosted a historic Sirah Conference at Jamia Masjid Madinah, Sheffield, attracting thousands of devotees of the Holy Prophet ﷺ from across the United Kingdom. The event brought together scholars, spiritual leaders, and attendees from diverse backgrounds and schools of thought, reflecting a powerful spirit of unity and love for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Thousands of women also participated in the spiritually uplifting gathering.

The conference was exceptionally well organised, with Minhaj-ul-Quran volunteers serving with dedication and professionalism. The programme was hosted by Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi, Director of Madinat al-Zahra. Qur’an recitation was delivered by Qari Ghulam Yaseen, while Minhaj al-Munshideen presented na‘at and devotional nasheeds. Distinguished speakers included Professor Saleem Akhtar, Mustafa Raza Baig, M***i Hafiz Fazal Ahmad Qadri, Dr Musharraf Hussain, Syed Lakht-e-Hasnain Shah, Muhbeen Hussain, and Allama Ali Akbar Qadri.

The highlight of the conference was the keynote address by Shaykh-ul-Islam Professor Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. Speaking before a capacity audience that filled all three halls of the mosque, he delivered a profound and inspiring discourse on the love, devotion, and teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. His address deeply moved the audience and created a powerful spiritual atmosphere that left a lasting impact on all who attended.

May Allah Almighty preserve Shaykh-ul-Islam’s guidance and leadership for the benefit of the Muslim Ummah and enable us to continue benefiting from his scholarly and spiritual contributions. Ameen.

👏🏻 Thank You for Making Our Fundraising Evening a Success

Alhamdulillah, our “Evening of Fundraising with Madinat al Zahra” was a truly blessed and memorable occasion.

We were honoured to welcome hundreds of attendees, whose presence, generosity, and heartfelt support made the evening a tremendous success. By the grace of Allah ﷻ, a significant amount was raised in support of this noble vision.

The evening was hosted by Ifra Kauser, who welcomed guests and guided the programme.

The evening began with a spiritually uplifting Tilawat and Na’at by Qari Kamran Mas’oodi, followed by Na’tiya poetry by Samia Naz.

Al-Samarraie (lead architect) then shared a few words, followed by an inspiring presentation from Huzaifa al Yamani, offering insight into the vision and aspirations of Madinat al Zahra.

The evening culminated in a heartfelt fundraising appeal, where the generosity and commitment of our community was truly inspiring to witness, before concluding with a special dua by Shaykh ul Islam.

To every guest, donor, volunteer, organiser, and supporter — thank you. Your attendance, duas, and generosity have brought us one step closer to building a lasting legacy for future generations.

May Allah ﷻ accept every contribution and reward all those who supported this noble endeavour. Ameen

Final preparations are in place ahead of Madinat al Zahra’s fundraising dinner tomorrow at the Majestic in Bradford.

We will be joined by hundreds of donors and supporters as we plan for the next phase of construction.

We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Doors open at 6pm with starters served at 7pm.
