Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. 🤲

The Janazah of our dear brother Muhammad Iylas, son of the late Haji Muhammad Iqbal Sahib, took place today after Asr Salah at JTI Hilton Road Masjid.

It was a very large and well attended Janazah, with many people coming together to make Dua and pay their respects.

Iylas was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, a gentle, soft spoken and hardworking brother who will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.

Both father and son had a strong connection with our masjid. Even at the age of 90, Haji Muhammad Iqbal Sahib regularly attended the masjid until his passing. Iylas, despite being ill for a long time, continued to attend whenever he could and never complained about his illness.

A special JazakAllah Khair to all the volunteers, including members of the family who helped with car parking and ensured everything ran smoothly.

May Allah ﷻ grant Iylas Maghfirah, Noor in his grave and Jannatul Firdaus, and grant his family Sabr. Ameen. 🤲

The Janazah will take place immediately after Asr Salah (6.15pm).

Please park considerately and fully cooperate with the parking security team to ensure smooth and respectful proceedings.

🔹 Local residents: Please do NOT bring your cars. 🚫
🔹 Car share wherever possible.
🔹 One way system: ➡️ Enter via Hilton Road & exit via Ellercroft Road.
🔹 After 5:00pm: The car park will be FULL. Only come for drop off if necessary. 🚫 Please avoid driving down Hilton Road.
🔹 Do NOT block driveways or double park. 🚫

⚠️ We are expecting a very busy Janazah. Madrassa also finishes at 7:00pm.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Brother Muhammad Iylas, son of the late Haji Muhammad Iqbal Sahib.

Both father and son were regular Namazis at our masjid. Despite his health struggles, Iylas always made the effort to attend and pray at the masjid.

He was a hardworking, gentle and soft spoken person, known and respected by many.

May Allah (ﷻ) grant him Maghfirah and Jannatul Firdaus, and grant his family Sabr and strength at this difficult time. Ameen. 🤲

Alhamdulillah, JTI Hilton Road Masjid Tajweed classes take place every Sunday after Asr.

Our respected Shaykh Syed Muhammad Ahsan Shah Sahib has a busy schedule, yet he makes time and prioritises teaching us.

If the Shaykh can make the effort to teach us, why can’t we make the effort to learn?

📖 Learning to recite the Qur’an correctly is Fard e Ayn.

🤲 Umrah Mubarak to you both!

Alhamdulillah, what a beautiful blessing and honour. Malik Imran Khushall, son of Haji Muhammad Khushall, and Haji Mohammad Shehzad, son of Haji Muhammad Parvez, have completed their Umrah and are now blessed to be in Madinah Munawwarah, in the presence of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, making heartfelt Duas.

May Allah ﷻ accept their Umrah, fill their hearts with peace and Noor, bless them and their families, and may they remember us all in their precious Duas. 🤲💚

After Asr Salah today, we had the honour of offering the Janazah Salah of the respected and much-loved wife of Haji Allah Ditta Sahib of St Leonard’s Road.

The Janazah was very well attended, a beautiful reflection of the love, respect and affection that the local community had for her. She was a much-loved elder and a familiar, cherished presence in the community, and her passing is a great loss to her family, relatives, friends and all those who knew her.

It is especially poignant that she attended the Janazah of a brother only last week, never knowing that she would so soon be returning to her Creator. May Allah ﷻ accept her good deeds, overlook her shortcomings and bless her with His infinite mercy.

Our respected Imam Qibla, Allama Syed Sultan Mashadi Sahib, spoke very highly of her and her family. Having known the family closely for many years, his words carried a particular warmth and affection on this solemn occasion.

We would like to sincerely thank all the relatives, volunteers and members of the community who came forward to help, particularly those who assisted with car parking and the arrangements at the Masjid. Your time, effort and willingness to serve the family during such a difficult moment are deeply appreciated.

JazakumAllahu Khairan to everyone who attended, made Dua, offered their support and helped in any capacity. May Allah ﷻ reward each and every one of you abundantly.

May Allah ﷻ shower our respected sister with His mercy, fill her grave with Noor, grant her the highest ranks of Jannatul Firdaus, and grant Haji Allah Ditta Sahib, her family and all her loved ones Sabr-e-Jameel and strength during this difficult time.

May Allah ﷻ grant her Maghfirah and make her grave a garden from the gardens of Jannah. Ameen Ya Rabb-ul-Alameen. 🤲
