Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.

Twelve years ago today, on the 8th of June, marks the passing of Haji Mohammad Bashir رحمه الله.

JTI Shearbridge Road Masjid was truly his second home. A devoted Namazi, he dedicated much of his life to serving the Masjid and its community with sincerity and humility. Always present and often among the first to arrive, he quietly carried out countless acts of service without seeking recognition.

Haji Sahib رحمه الله was known for his gentle nature, kindness and respect for everyone. He taught good character through his actions, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Twelve years on, he remains fondly remembered. The community continues to benefit from the Masjid he helped support, and his legacy lives on through his family, who continue to support the Masjid, including relatives now living in Oldham.

May Allah ﷻ grant Haji Mohammad Bashir رحمه الله Jannatul Firdous, illuminate his grave with noor, accept his khidmat for the House of Allah ﷻ, and reward him abundantly in the Hereafter. Ameen. Al Fatiha 🤲🏻💔

📅 Today, 3rd June, marks 20 years since the passing of Raja Haji Muhammad Iqbal Khan رحمه الله.

Haji Sahib was a devoted Namazi and one of the key supporters of JTI Shearbridge Road Masjid, serving the House of Allah ﷻ with sincerity, dedication and humility. He was known for his love of the Masjid, his respect and hospitality towards visiting Ulama, his regular zikr, quiet charity and his ever present smile.

Though 20 years have passed, his legacy continues to live on in the Masjid and in the hearts of those who knew him. His son, Asif, remains directly involved with the Masjid and continues to serve it actively, while his family and grandchildren also remain regular attendees, carrying forward Haji Sahib’s connection and dedication to the Masjid.

May Allah ﷻ grant him the highest ranks in Jannah, fill his qabr with noor and accept all his khidmat and good deeds. Ameen.

He will always be remembered and missed.
