Our Easter Egg Hunt and Sunshine Café is happening this Sunday 5th April at 10.30am at St James Church Tong Village.

Bring the children for the Easter Egg Hunt and Free Children’s Easter Egg Raffle, then relax in the Sunshine Café with tea, coffee and homemade cake. ☕🍰

It’s also the perfect time to enjoy the gardens, see the spring flowers, and admire the newly refurbished paths and church clock sparkling in the sunshine.

After four years of running events and services at the cliff top church of St Mary’s in Whitby for Whitby Goth Weekend, the team behind this service have brought their unique blend of Gothic worship back to the Diocese of Leeds (where most of us are based) to the village church of St James’, Tong.

Come and celebrate Candlemas by candlelight with us at St James, Tong, at a Eucharist with a Gothic twist, blending anglo-catholic tradition, the 1662 Prayer Book and a worship band playing music inspired by Goth artists and culture. Goths, steampunks, the curious and all who admire and enjoy the aesthetic and culture are most welcome to join us – wear your finest – we shall! Everyone very welcome.

Our annual Carol Concert & Brass Band is here!
🕕 6pm at St James Church

Come and raise the roof with glorious carols, a rousing brass band, festive warming drinks to loosen those vocal cords, and a festive treat.

Bring your friends, family, and best singing voice (tuneful or not!) and come inside to get warm, sing loud, laugh lots, and enjoy great company.

Let’s fill St James with music, cheer, and togetherness as we wish seasons of joy to all 🎶❤️
