Death is not something we like to think about.

But it is something we all need to remember.

The Prophet ﷺ reminded us to frequently remember the destroyer of pleasures — death.

Because when a person remembers death, the dunya begins to lose its control over the heart.
The distractions become smaller.
The sins feel heavier.
The Salah becomes more important.
And the purpose of life becomes clearer.

Every single one of us will taste death.

So the question is not “Will I die?”
The real question is:

“Am I preparing to meet Allah?”

Your goal in this life is not to chase every pleasure.
Your goal is to worship Allah until certainty comes.

May Allah make us people who remember death in a way that reforms our hearts, strengthens our Salah, and brings us closer to Him. Ameen.

What If The Wealth You GIVE Away Is The Wealth That Truly Stays?

We spend so much of life trying to hold onto what we have.

Saving more.
Protecting more.
Accumulating more.

So giving something away can feel like losing it.

But Charity completely changes that equation.

Allah says:

“Whatever you spend, He will replace it.”
— Qur’an 34:39

What leaves your hand for the sake of Allah is not simply gone.

It can become reward.

It can become purification.

It can become an investment for the Hereafter.

And charity does not require you to be wealthy.

A small amount given consistently.

Helping someone in need.

Removing something harmful from the path.

Sharing beneficial knowledge.

Even simple acts of goodness can become Ṣadaqah.

And some forms of charity can continue benefiting you even after your life ends.

So perhaps real wealth is not only what you manage to keep…

Perhaps it is what you send ahead.

Give sincerely.

Give consistently.

And trust ALLAH with what remains.

You Say “I Believe”… But Is Iman Only In The HEART?

Many people reduce faith to one sentence:

“Allah knows what’s in my heart.”

But Iman is not something that remains hidden inside you with no effect on the way you live.

True faith begins in the heart…

It is affirmed by the tongue…

And its effects become visible through your actions.

When Sufyān ibn ʿAbdullāh رضي الله عنه asked the Prophet ﷺ for one comprehensive piece of advice about Islam, he ﷺ said:

“Say: I believe in Allah — then remain steadfast.”

That second part matters.

Because belief is not merely something you claim.

It is something you LIVE.

Your heart believes.
Your tongue declares.
Your limbs respond.

And when these come together, Īmān begins shaping your entire life.

So perhaps the question isn’t only:

“Do I believe?”

But:

“Can my Iman be seen in the way I live?”

They Told Him: “Don’t Write EVERYTHING The Prophet ﷺ Says…”

ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr رضي الله عنه used to write down what he heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ so he could preserve it.

But people questioned him.

The Prophet ﷺ was human.

He experienced different emotions.

So should everything he said really be written down?

ʿAbdullāh stopped.

Then he went directly to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him.

The Prophet ﷺ pointed toward his mouth and said:

“Write. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, nothing comes from it except the truth.”

— Sunan Abī Dāwūd 3646

This is why Muslims do not treat the authentic Sunnah as ordinary human commentary.

Allah says regarding His Messenger ﷺ:

“Nor does he speak from his own desire. It is only a revelation sent down.”
— Qur’an 53:3–4

The Qur’an was conveyed through his tongue.

And the authentic Hadith and Sunnah were taught and demonstrated through him ﷺ.

So when an authentic teaching of the Messenger ﷺ reaches us, the question should not be:

“Do I personally like it?”

But rather:

“How do I submit to the TRUTH?”

You Think Striving Against Yourself Means Just Fighting Your Desires?

It goes much deeper than that.

The scholars explain that striving against the self has different levels.

First, you strive to seek beneficial knowledge.

Because you cannot worship Allah correctly without knowing what He loves and what He has commanded.

Then you strive to ACT upon what you learn.

Because knowledge that never changes your actions has missed its purpose.

Then comes another level:

Calling others toward Allah and Islam with the knowledge you have been given.

And through all of this…

You strive to remain patient and steadfast.

Seeking knowledge.
Acting upon it.
Calling others to the truth.
Remaining patient upon the path.

This is not a struggle that ends after a day, a course, or a lecture.

For the believer, it continues throughout life.

So ask yourself:

Which level are you struggling with right now?

Because sometimes the greatest battle isn’t around you…

It’s the one happening within YOURSELF.

The Companions Didn’t Learn Qur’an Just To MEMORIZE It…

Today, finishing another page or another Surah can feel like progress.

But the early generations approached the Qur’an differently.

They would learn a portion of the Qur’an and would not simply rush ahead.

They wanted to understand:

What does Allah mean here?

What knowledge is in these verses?

What rulings do they contain?

And most importantly…

How do I LIVE what I just memorised?

This is why their relationship with the Qur’an went beyond the tongue.

It reached their knowledge, actions, and character.

Memorising more is a blessing.

But perhaps the question isn’t only:

“How much Qur’an do I know?”

Perhaps we should also ask:

“How much of what I know has changed me?”

The goal was never just to carry the Qur’an in memory.

It was to carry it into your LIFE.

Does Allah REALLY Have Only 99 Names?

Most Muslims have heard the famous hadith:

Allah has 99 Names, and whoever preserves them will enter Paradise.

So it’s easy to assume:

“Allah has exactly 99 Names. No more.”

But another hadith gives us a deeper picture.

The Prophet ﷺ made duʿā to Allah by every Name belonging to Him — including Names He revealed, taught to His creation, or kept within the knowledge of the unseen.

So what does that mean?

The scholars explain that the 99 Names mentioned in the hadith are not necessarily the total number of Allah’s Names.

They are a specific set connected to a tremendous virtue.

And there’s another important principle:

Not every word used in relation to Allah automatically becomes one of His Names.

The Names of Allah are established through the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah, and every Name carries a meaning of complete perfection.

Knowing Allah’s Names is not just about memorising a list.

It is about understanding Who Allah is, His perfect Attributes, and what those Names mean for your worship.

You Said, “I Believe”… But Did You Think You Wouldn’t Be TESTED?

Sometimes we imagine that being close to Allah should mean life becomes easier.

But the Qur’an teaches us something very different.

Īmān will be tested.

Through fear.
Through hardship.
Through loss of wealth.
And sometimes through losing the people we love most.

A father may pass away.
Something you treasured may be taken from you.
Life may suddenly look completely different.

And in that moment, the real question becomes:

How will you respond?

The believer remembers that everything we have was first given to us by Allah.

And this Dunyā was never meant to remain forever.

So when Allah tests you, don’t immediately assume He has abandoned you.

Your hardship may be revealing the strength of your Īmān, teaching you Ṣabr, and preparing you for something far greater than anything this Dunyā could ever give.

You said you believe.

Now comes the TEST.

You May Have Many Shortcomings… But THIS Can Change Your Final Abode.

A Muslim may struggle with sins.
They may have weaknesses.
They may fall short again and again.

But there is something far more dangerous than simply having shortcomings:

Corruption in ʿAqeedah.

When a person dies upon Tawḥīd and correct ʿAqeedah, their sins beneath Shirk remain under the Will of Allah — He may forgive them, or they may be punished before ultimately entering Jannah.

But Allah gives a severe warning regarding Shirk:

“Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills.”
— Qur’an 4:48

This is why learning and protecting your ʿAqeedah is not a small matter.

Your actions matter.
Your sins matter.
Your repentance matters.

But never underestimate the importance of dying upon Tawḥīd.

Protect your ʿAQEEDAH before everything else.

You Can Reject His Wrong… And STILL Want Good For Him.

What happens when a Muslim says or does something you strongly disagree with?

Do you immediately treat him like an enemy?

The Qur’an still describes the believers as brothers — even when conflict occurs between them.

And that teaches us something important:

Muslim Brotherhood does not mean agreeing with everything.

You can stand firmly upon the Sunnah.
You can reject Bidʿah and wrongdoing.
You can correct what needs to be corrected.

But the bond of Islam should still push you toward something deeper:

To advise him sincerely.
To want his guidance.
To want what is good for him.

Because correction is very different from hatred.

Sometimes the real test isn’t whether you can identify someone’s mistake…

It’s whether you can still want good for them after you do.
