All Creatures Great and Small

🐾

Today, following the 8.00am, we launched our new Junior Church with All Creatures Great and Small, meeting every second Sunday alongside ‘In the Round’ with wonderful grown-ups and wonderful children, 12 dogs, photos of beloved pets, cuddly highland cattle and an assortment of wonderful animal stories.

A cacophony of beautiful chaos.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make our first gathering very special.

Thank you to everyone who came along to Hymns and Pimm’s last night!

It was wonderful to sing together, with some fun compering, an organ extravaganza from Martin Cooke, our Director of Music, and, of course, the quiz - which we loved!

If you enjoy singing, do come and join us for our ‘Come and Sing’ Evensong on 4 October at Holy Trinity, directed by Simon Lole. There’s a full programme throughout the afternoon, with plenty of opportunities to sing together and a cream tea!

A joyful sharing of our new vision at Holy Trinity on Sunday morning with one hundred parishioners. We’ve worked on this as a team for 12 months, and hope we will embrace it as our benefice-wide vision in due course. Three churches in one, each with their own MAP, rooted in Christ.

We want to make a difference in the world and witness to God’s love and justice. Working in partnership with others who are transforming people’s lives, we seek to serve our local community with joy so that all may flourish. With Jesus as our companion and guide we believe we can travel through life differently. We hope that others will want to share the adventure with us and discover life in all its fullness.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to the Westwood Summer Show today!

We’d also like to say a very special thank you to everyone who has worked so hard behind the scenes over many months to make the day such a success.

Our thanks go to the Parish Council, the Committee, Churchwardens and the PCC, teams and volunteers, for all who came along, for your support. Thank you to Jonathan and Emily at Westwood.

It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the day and coming together as a community.

Looking ahead to the weekend across the Benefice 🌿

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow at 5pm at Holy Trinity for a special concert with Timothy Parsons, celebrating the centenary of the Willis organ. 🎶

It has been an inspiring week across the Benefice, with the Community Café and Trinity Tots at Holy Trinity among the highlights.

Great to see everyone for All Creatures Great and Small in Westwood and Wingfield this morning! Thank you to everyone with us who brought their pets along and photos to share, and all who shared their stories. Good to be with a packed church in Westwood for this first Creation story with them. Thank you to Alain, one of our new Lay Worship Leaders for conducting the services and to our marvellous congregations.
