We are excited to be celebrating our Curate Rev. Karen's ordination as Priest this Saturday at 4pm at St. George's Church in nearby Altrincham, along with fellow curates Mike Duncombe and Carol Brooks-Johnson. Karen has been serving her deacon year in Bowdon Parish and we look forward to her growing ministry among us in this new season. Karen will be presiding at Holy Communion for the first time at St. Mary's, Bowdon at 10am on Sunday. 💒🙏

In our Annual Church Meeting today we shared photos looking back at year or so of the life and times of Bowdon Parish Church – What a fantastic group of people doing so much in worship, fellowship, mission and service to our community! What a gloriously sunny early morning as a few of us gathered at the top of St. Mary’s Church tower on this Ascension Day... just that little nearer to heaven! A prayer for today:
Almighty God,
whose risen Son has ascended in triumph
to prepare a place for your people:
lift our hearts to heaven,
send upon us the power of your Holy Spirit,
and keep us faithful in hope and love,
until we share the joy of your eternal kingdom;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A busy and varied day in the life Bowdon Parish… 6 services including… a family service for Christian Aid Week at Zone2, followed by Holy Communion at St. Mary’s, a blessing service of prayers at the new memorial stone in the Garden of Remembrance, morning worship and then the new “Faith at Five” contemporary worship at St. Luke’s, and finally joining the choir for traditional Choral Evensong this evening. Certainly something for everyone! 😮🎶
