It may be pouring with rain today, but it looks like Saturday afternoon will be sunny! Why not make the most of the weather and help out at the Community Garden at St Nicholas? Everyone welcome this Saturday 12th September from 1.30pm to join the small group of volunteers who tend this lovely community garden!

We are excited to welcome back our SmAll Saints toddler group tomorrow (Tuesday) after the summer break! Meeting in the lower hall at All Saints’ Church Centre, 10-11.30am, £2 per family. We'll be having fun with friends and new beginnings with some fantastic new toys and activities! 👩‍❤️‍👨👩‍❤️‍👨

After a busy few days, our “lounge” at St Nicholas’ church is starting to take shape. Big thanks to our vicar Mike and our hard working volunteers who had a day of painting. Just a few touch ups, electrics and carpet and we’ll be ready to make good use of this room again.

Yeehaw! as they say! Advanced notice of a barn dance at St Katharine's Church Centre on Saturday 17th October, 7.00-9.30pm. Tickets are £8 for adults and £4 for children, available from the parish office or St Katharine's Church Office, or from members of the Social Committee in church. Please bring your friends, and your own refreshments and snacks, and we'll dance the night away.

Either way, if you like a scone, you'll be pleased to know that our next 'Scones of Praise' is coming up in the upper hall at All Saints' Church Centre on Sunday 13th September, at 3.00pm, with time to sing favourite hymns to restore peace and harmony!

We're launching a new season of our monthly 'Let's Get Together' at St Nicholas' Church Hall, starting next Friday 4 September at 2pm with board games. It's a time for people of all ages and abilities, with varied activities and refreshments, on the first Friday each month at 2pm, so come along and bring a friend for a bit of fun and company.

Good to have a visit from Bishop Rhiannon today - thank you for coming!

Lunch today with the Revd Mike Powis in the newly formed parish of Southbourne-on-Sea in Bournemouth and very nice it was too. I do like to be beside the seaside!
